Abstract

 ハンドオーバなどの通信処理を高速かつ高品質に実現することができる通信装置および通信方法を提供することを目的とする。  移動通信用端末101は、通信部102aで受信された受信信号が所定値以下になったと電力測定部105において判断された場合、周波数変換部102b(FFT演算器8)は、受信される受信信号に対して時間・周波数変換(例えば、FFTまたはDFT)を行うための周波数範囲を拡大して演算を行う。そして、周波数測定部102c(検出回路9)は、拡大された周波数範囲内の受信信号の受信強度を測定し、測定された信号のうち、予め定めた受信強度より高い信号の周波数を検出し、通信部102aはその周波数の信号を用いて接続処理を実行する。
