Abstract

アップショット検出装置（１０）は、映像を構成する少なくとも二つのフレーム又はフィールド間の動き量を、該フレーム又は該フィールドを構成する一画素又は複数の隣接画素からなる所定単位毎に演算する動き検出手段（１０１）と、この演算された動き量を二値化する二値化手段（１０２）と、この二値化された動き量が同じである所定単位が連結してなる連結領域のうち、所定単位の数が所定閾値以上であるものを、大領域として特定する大領域特定手段（１０３，１０４）と、この特定された大領域について、予め設定された複数の評価項目のうち少なくとも一つが所定の条件を満たす場合に、この特定された大領域を有するフレーム又はフィールドをアップショットとして特定するアップショット特定手段（１０５，１０６，１０８）とを備える。これにより、簡便且つ迅速にアップショットを検出できる。
