リードが小さい領域においても製造が容易な第１のヘリコイドを提供することにより、更なる縮小化が可能なレンズ鏡筒を提供する。 本発明のレンズ鏡筒は、第１の面６ａに第１のヘリコイド１８，２５，２６が設けられた第１の筒体６と、第１の面６ａに対向する第２の面２１ａに第２のヘリコイド２４が設けられた第２の筒体２１と、を備えるレンズ鏡筒１であって、第１の筒体６は、第１の面６ａにおいて、第１のヘリコイド１８，２５，２６が第１のリードを有する第１の領域Ｚ１と、第１のヘリコイド１８，２５が、第１のリードより小さい第２のリードを有する第２の領域Ｚ２，Ｚ３とを備え、第２のリードを有する第１のヘリコイド１８，２５の条数が、第１のリードを有する第１のヘリコイド１８，２５，２６の条よりも少ないことを特徴とするレンズ鏡筒１である。
