Abstract

 MDCTおよびICPを使用してスケーラブルなステレオ音声符号化を実行する場合において、符号化・復号の高効率化と復号音声の高品質化の両方を実現する符号化装置。この符号化装置では、MDCT変換部(111)は、窓掛け処理後の左チャネル/右チャネルの残差信号に対してMDCT変換を実行する。MDCT変換部(112)は、窓掛け処理後のモノラル残差信号に対してMDCT変換を実行する。ICP分析部(117)は、左チャネル/右チャネル残差信号の高帯域部分の周波数係数とモノラル残差信号の高帯域部分の周波数係数との相関関係を用いてICP分析を行い、左チャネル/右チャネル残差信号のICPパラメータを生成する。ICPパラメータ量子化部(118)は、各ICPパラメータを量子化する。低帯域符号化部(119)は、左チャネル/右チャネル残差信号の低帯域部分の周波数係数に対して高精度の符号化を行う。
