Abstract
It is intended to provide a simple and non-invasive delivery monitoring system which is safe to a mother animal and an unborn baby animal and small sized and lightweight, provides little load during or after the attachment, can be conveniently attached, never drops off until the delivery time and makes it possible to exactly and surely notice the start of the delivery even from a distant place. A delivery monitoring system which has a magnetic flux (1a) generator (1) to be attached to one of the vulvas facing each other or above them of a mother animal that are opened wider at the start of the delivery than at ordinary times, a sensor (2) which is attached apart from the generator (1) to the same or the other vulva or above and senses the magnetic flux (1a), and a detection circuit (16) which is connected to the sensor (2) and detects the sensed level, wherein a discrimination circuit, which discriminates that the distance between the generator (1) and the sensor (2) increases compared with the distance in the mother animal at ordinary times depending on the sensed level, is wiredly or wirelessly connected to the detection circuit (16), a communication device and/or an alarm device transferring a delivery-starting signal emitted from the discrimination circuit is provided, and the sensor (2) and the detection circuit (16) are unified via a cord being in such a length as not get entangled with the tail of the mother animal.
