Abstract

[PROBLEMS] To provide an airbag device for a car exterior which may have an improved storability. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] The airbag device for pedestrians comprises an airbag (60) that is installed on or near the hood (14) of a vehicle and so deployed as to cover at least a part of each of the hood (14) and the front pillar of the vehicle when the vehicle is collided with an object. The airbag (60) comprises a body part (60A) positioned on the inflator side and an extension part (60B) from the body part (60A) positioned on the side opposite to the inflator. The thickness of the outer cover member forming the extension part (60B) is thinner than the thickness of the outer cover member forming the body part (60A).
