Abstract

　見る人の負担が少ない立体画像を生成する立体画像切出し装置を提供する。画像入力部３と画像入力部４は、それぞれ、左目用と右目用の撮影画像の入力を受け付ける。画像分離処理５と画像分離処理６は、それぞれ、左目用と右目用の撮影画像から、撮影の対象物のみを分離した左目用と右目用の抽出画像を生成する。切出し位置検出処理７は、左目用の抽出画像と、横方向に遂次ずらした右目用の抽出画像とを比較し、比較の結果、最も差異が少ない位置を切出し位置として検出する。切出し処理１１と切出し処理１２は、左目用の撮影画像と、切出し位置まで横方向にずらした右目用の撮影画像とが重なった切出し領域を、それぞれ、左目用の撮影画像と右目用の撮影画像とから切出す。立体画像生成処理１３は、切出し部１１と切出し部１１が切出した画像から、立体画像を生成する。
