Abstract
A three-dimensional image segmenting device which generates a three-dimensional image which places a reduced burden on a viewing person. An image input part (3) and an image input part (4) respectively receive inputs of captured images for the left eye and for the right eye. An image separation processing (5) and an image separation processing (6) respectively generate extracted images for the left eye and for the right eye by separating only the subject of imaging from the captured images for the left eye and for the right eye. A segmenting position detection processing (7) compares the extracted image for the left eye with the extracted image for the right eye moved successively in a transverse direction, and detects a position where the difference is minimized as a segmenting position as the result of the comparison. A segmenting processing (11) and a segmenting processing (12) segment a segmentation area where the captured image for the left eye and the captured image for the right eye moved in the transverse direction to the segmenting position are superposed on each other respectively from the captured image for the left eye and that for the right eye. A three-dimensional image generation processing (13) generates a three-dimensional image from the images segmented by the segmenting part (11) and the segmenting part (12).
