Definitions
- the invention relates to exhaust systems of internal combustion engines comprising a diesel particulate filter in a tubular canning, a diesel oxi catalyst in a tubular canning and a reversible connection device.
- Exhaust systems of internal combustion engines consist of a large number of components, in particular of tubes and housings.
- the connection of these parts with each other by welding, by plugging, by clamping, by soldering, by gluing or by screwing of flanges.
- Welded, soldered or glued joints are not solvable. According to experience, inserted inventions are difficult or impossible to separate after a certain period of use.
- flange connections can be detached at any time, but have the disadvantage that the flanges and screws increase the weight and in particular the space requirement, with this disadvantage being all the more pronounced the larger the diameter of the parts to be joined.
- soot filters and catalysts To clean the exhaust gases of diesel engines soot filters and catalysts are used.
- the soot filters must be cleaned of ash at regular intervals. For this, the housing of the soot filter must be opened.
- the current state of the art in the field of diesel engine exhaust purification includes diesel particulate filter (DPF) combinations and this immediately preceding Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC).
- Catalyst and soot filters are housed in so-called cannings.
- the cannings are equipped with massive forged flanges, which are detachably connected with several screws and nuts. These flanges are so stable that they do not deform due to the heating and cooling occurring during operation and the connection remains permanently gastight.
- a disadvantage is the high weight of the flanges and the relatively high space requirement for the flanges and their Connecting screws, since the space is limited in the conventional motor vehicles.
- V-band clamps Furthermore, it is known to connect the cannings with so-called V-band clamps. These also require additional space. Their main drawback, however, is that they have to be made with complicated and therefore expensive forming tools to make the connection durable and gas tight.
- the present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide an exhaust system with a simple, inexpensive, fast to install and just as quickly demounted connection solution with minimal space requirements and minimum weight.
- the cannings are butted, the shock is covered by a wide strap, the strap is stretched by a detachable connection.
- the present invention includes a durable and space-optimized clamp connection of at least one diesel particulate filter canning with at least one upstream and / or downstream catalyst Canning, with connecting cones and / or with exhaust pipes.
- the connection guarantees a high degree of tightness through its constructive design. It allows for easy installation and removal of the diesel particulate filter during maintenance without the need for additional screw connections to the system.
- the releasable connection uses screws and nuts, optionally also lock nuts, wherein the clamping band end has aligned screw holes.

Description
Beschreibung:
Abgasanlage.
Technisches Gebiet:
