Abstract
Provided is a ship maneuvering device which moves the ship steadily and which is so highly responsive as can be easily operated. The ship maneuvering device comprises a joystick lever (24) made turnable on three axes of X, Y and Z for detecting the individual turning angles of the individual axes. Further comprised is a second operation mechanism (23) having a control mechanism (25) for deciding the moving velocity and the moving direction of the ship on the basis of the turning angles on the X-axis and the Y-axis, as acquired from the joystick lever (24), and for deciding the turning velocity and the turning direction of the ship on the basis of the turning angle on the Z-axis, as acquired from the joystick lever (24), thereby to control the operations of engines (2 and 3), clutch mechanism (4 and 5) and a bow thruster (10) on the basis of the decided moving velocity, moving direction, turning velocity and turning direction of a ship (1). The control mechanism (25) of the second operation mechanism (23) sends pulse signals according to the decided moving velocity, moving direction, turning velocity and turning direction, to the clutch mechanisms (4 and 5) and the bow thruster (10).
