Abstract

　追尾中であっても追尾対象の被写体をより大きく撮影可能とし、追尾を継続しながら人物等の追尾対象の特徴を容易に特定できるようにする。 　自動追尾装置は、パン・チルト・ズーム制御部１３及びパン・チルト駆動部１４により、撮像部１１の向きを制御し、撮影映像に追尾対象が含まれるように撮影領域を調整する。ここで、追尾速度判断部１７により、撮像部１１を制御するための制御情報から追尾速度を取得する。そして、追尾速度が所定値以下の場合、ズーム倍率算出部１６により、追尾速度に応じてズーム倍率を算出し、パン・チルト・ズーム制御部１３及びズームレンズ駆動部１５により、撮像部１１のズーム倍率を変更する。
