Abstract

【課題】 特に、磁気抵抗効果素子のR-H曲線を改良し、このR-H曲線を利用して成るラッチ型の磁気検出装置を提供することを目的としている。 【解決手段】 磁気抵抗効果素子23は、外部磁界がゼロから(+)方向の外部磁界の所定範囲内、及び、外部磁界がゼロから前記(+)方向とは逆方向の(-)方向の外部磁界の所定範囲内では、電気抵抗値が変動せず、前記(+)方向の外部磁界、及び前記(-)方向の外部磁界に対して、夫々、所定以上の磁界強度変化があったときに電気抵抗値が変化するR-H曲線を有している。これにより動作安定性に優れたラッチ型の磁気検出装置を得ることが出来る。また回路内にラッチ回路を設ける必要がなく、また磁気抵抗効果素子も一種類ですむ事から、磁気検出装置の小型化と製造コストの低減を図ることが可能である。
