Abstract

 反射光に指向性を持たせることのできる高画質の反射型及び半透過型の液晶表示装置を低コストで提供する。  本発明の液晶表示装置は、画素の中に入射光を表示面に向けて反射させる反射部を備えた液晶表示装置であって、反射部は、金属層と、金属層の上に形成された半導体層と、半導体層の上に形成された反射層とを備え、反射層の表面は、金属層の形状に応じて形成され、第1の方向に延びる第1の凹部又は凸部と、半導体層の形状に応じて形成され、第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に延びる第2の凹部又は凸部とを含む。
