Abstract
A microchip inspection system which can perform inspection of a target substance with high precision. The microchip inspection system comprises a microchip including at least a target substance and a fluorescence-labeled reagent bonding specifically to the target substance and having a part to be detected where measurement of the intensity of fluorescence for detecting reaction of the target substance and the reagent is performed; a photodetecting section provided in correspondence with the microchip part to be detected and irradiating the part with excitation light and receiving fluorescence from the part; and a control section for detecting reaction based on the measurement of the intensity of fluorescence at the photodetecting section. The photodetecting section has a first light receiving means for receiving light of first fluorescence wavelength band, and a second light receiving means for receiving light of second fluorescence wavelength band, and the control section detects reaction based on the relative relation of a first intensity of fluorescence received by the first light receiving means and a second intensity of fluorescence received by the second light receiving means.
