Description
FIXING APPARATUS WITH A DURABLE STRUCTURE FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SEATS
Technical Field
The invention relates to the fixing apparatus that provides the connection of the passenger seats with the commercial vehicle.
Said invention relates to a seat fixing apparatus, which eliminates the height differences caused by the rails, enables to move the seats on the rail when desired and has a high endurance.
Background Art
Said assembly apparatus have a shape resembling the symbol omega, which is called the "u profile" in the sector with a cavity formed in the center and with edges making an angle of 90° towards the outside. In said embodiments, the lugs of the u profile which make an angle are assembled in a way to be able to contact the base of the vehicle, by means of the connecting means. With the profile being disposed on the vehicle base in this manner, a protuberance is formed.
The holes are made at certain points of thus formed protuberance and the connecting elements are allowed to pass through these holes. The head parts of the connecting elements are located inside the formed protuberance and are connected to the foot plate of the seat in such a way that the toothed section thereof will be located on the top. However, in such an embodiment, the seat may not be moved by sliding the same forward or backward as desired.
In the vehicles where the connection is provided in this manner, the forward motion of the vehicle along with the weight of the passenger imparts a vertical force on the connecting feet of the seat. Said force imparted or being exposed to upon the forward motion of the vehicle may cause the loosening of the connecting element
that provides the connection between the feet of the seat and the mounting plate, in relation to the seating position. The connecting element applies a retaining force which is linearly proportional to the surface where it contacts the mounting plate and the seat foot. Said loosening is a rather disturbing condition during the travel. In such a case, the need for continuous maintenance arises, leading to an increase in the costs.
In such a condition where there is no adequate support, the adverse conditions that may arise during the travel may be imparted by a stronger force, e.g. with the impact of collision in case of an accident. In such a case, the outcomes with heavy losses may be suffered resulting from the breaking off of the seat from the connecting elements.
Another application of the technique involves placing an inner rail inside the outer rails able to be mounted on the vehicle base. A triangular cavity is made inside the outer rail, the interior of the profile is filled so that said cavity does not lead to the loss of strength and only the part to be utilized is removed and rolled. The structure of the inner rail is compatible with the structure of the outer rail. The inner rail engaged inside the outer rail bears the holes suitable for the connecting element to be used for assembly and the toothed structures.
According to said invention, when a forward vertical force is applied, the angle of 90° is not formed on the outer rails to provide a structure that may counteract said force.
The embodiments with any angle smaller than 90° formed on any structure to constitute the outer rail mechanism are not able to prevent the inner rail from coming out at the instant of a possible accident. The inclination of the inner rail towards coming out brings about the risk for the side walls of the outer rail to open towards the back.
Based on the state of the background art, it is seen that the studies to ensure the life security and the safety of the passengers traveling by the commercial vehicles are inevitable. In the following, the object and description of the improvement provided in this field are mentioned.
Description of the Invention
The object of the invention is to ensure the safety of the passengers by means of the fixing apparatus and the passenger seats having a durable structure.
Another object of the invention is to minimize the possible loosening, failure and similar negative conditions owing to the fixing apparatus and the passenger seats having a durable structure.
Another object of the invention is to provide that the fixing apparatus is easier to assemble as compared to the present techniques. Thus, the object is also to minimize the production times and reduce the labor.
Another object of the invention is to eliminate the height differences resulting from the rails and to enable the seats to be moved on the rail when desired.
Another object of the invention is to enable the change of the seat positions by means of the forward and backward movement when desired.
Another object of the invention is to minimize the space between the outer rail and the inner rail skid inside said outer rail, based on the structure of the outer rail. Another object is to minimize the tightening time during which the connecting element passing through the cavities opened on the inner rail fixes the inner rail and the seat slipway, and thus to recover the relevant time and labor losses.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention is the fixing apparatus which is disposed on the vehicle base surface (1) and provides the connection of the vehicle seats' feet (5), wherein it comprises a slipway (3) connected with said vehicle seat foot (5) and bearing at least one operating space (3.1 ) and at least one slipway protrusion (3.2) and an outer rail (2) corresponding to and clamped with the operating space (3.1) and the slipway protrusion (3.2) of said slipway (3), said outer rail (2) comprising at least one protrusion (2.1 ) and operating space (2.2).
In Figure-1a and 1b, the perspective and sectional views of the structure according to the invention are illustrated. The u-shaped formation of the outer rail (2) is provided by means of an angle of 45°. Referring to Figure 1b, there are the outer jugs (2.3) at the outer part of the "t" shaped embodiment of the outer rail (2) walls formed with an angle of 45° with the base.
On the bottom surface of said outer lug (2.3), the serrated surface (2.4) is formed parallel to the ground plane. Said serrated surface (2.4) imparts pressure on the floor covering (7) located on the topmost surface of the vehicle base (1).
The protuberance (2.1) is formed perpendicular to the ground plane, inside said "t" shaped structure. Said protuberance (2.1 ) is borne in the slipway protrusion (3.2) and the operating space (3.1 ) formed on the slipway (3) movable within the outer rail (2). Owing to this type of connection, a perfect clamping is provided. Said clamping is the most effective factor in resolving the drawbacks in the background art.
The bolts passing through the gaps opened in the reference direction taken with the alignment line (2.6) formed on the base of the outer rail (2) are welded onto the vehicle base surface (1).
The angled walls on the outer rail are compatible with the vehicle base. It is the form of the outer and the inner rail that prevents the inner rail (slipway) from falling down.
The form in the middle lower section of the inner rail (slipway) is designed so that it will prevent the connection bolt from rotating while the nut is being tightened.
The connecting element (4) passes through the gaps disposed on the slipway (3) in a head up orientation. The connecting element (4) engaged to the slipway (3) also passes through the gaps on the seat foot (5) to enable the tightening procedure to be achieved. Since the connecting element (bolt) is designed in suitable dimensions such that it will not fall down when inserted in the hole on the inner rail (slipway) upwards from the bottom, there is left no need for a longer bolt, and thus the nut insertion time is shortened owing to the use of a short bolt. The slipway (3) connected to the seat foot (5) via the connecting element (4) is clamped to the outer rail (2). Owing to this clamping, any forward or backward force to be imparted on the seat foot (5) in case of an accident is damp
The base covering (6) placed on the vehicle base surface (1) and preferably made of wooden material surrounds the walls of the outer rail (2). In such an arrangement, the outer rails (2) are integrated with the base, which is the next upper surface after the floor covering (7). The floor covering (7) laid on the base covering (6) and being the final coat is preferably made of PVC. Floor covering (7) is secured by applying chemical adhesive on the base covering (6). As a result of said used chemical losing its characteristic in time, there may occur wrinkles on the floor covering (7). Developed also as a solution for such problems, the serrated surfaces (2.4) disposed on the outer rails (2) along the length thereof are connected with said floor covering (7) to prevent the same from separating from the floor and to hinder the formation of the wrinkles thereon.
In Figure 2a and 2b, an alternative embodiment is illustrated for the present invention. Here, the angle of 45° is not used in forming the base and the walls of said outer rail (2). The outer rail (2) base and the walls may be made in a form compatible with the structure with radius on the outer surface of the slipway protrusion (3.2) formed on the slipway (3).
The protective scope of the present application is determined in the part of claims, and the scope may by no means be limited to the description above provided only by way of example. It is obvious that a person skilled in the art may also provide the innovative step of the invention modifying the shape of the parts and using the similar embodiments and/or apply this embodiment to other fields with similar purpose Used in the relevant art. Consequently, such embodiments would obviously lack the criterions of novelty and inventive step.
