Abstract

An object of the present invention is a skirting board fastener comprising a convex body, the outer shape of which fits the profile of a skirting and which is provided with fitting up elements. According to the present invention that skirting fastener constitutes a two-part structure comprising a lower portion (1) and an upper portion (2) being temporary fastened by means of at least one click joint (6).

Description

Skirting fastener and more particularly skirting board fastener
An object of the present invention is a skirting fastener and more particularly a skirting board fastener, used to connect longitudinal profile elements of a skirting, especially at the corners of a room.
From the description of the Polish Patent Application No. P370968 is known a skirting system comprising a joint element in form of a corner fitting fastener comprising an uniform body made up of two S-shaped bended walls, having a common edge. At the inner side of each wall are placed click webs, used to connect a joint element with longitudinal elements of a skirting system.
The description of the Polish Utility Model No.W114844 presents a structure of a skirting board fastener, the outer area of which is a mapping of the outer area of a skirting board. At the inner side of a skirting fastener there are fixing fins provided with fixing elements.
An object of the present invention is a skirting fastener and more particularly a skirting board fastener comprising a convex body, the outer shape of which fits the profile of a skirting and which is provided with fitting up elements. The gist of the present invention consists therein that the skirting fastener constitutes a two-part structure comprising a lower portion and an upper portion, being temporary fastened by means of at least one click joint.
Advantageously, the upper portion of a skirting fastener is provided at least with one downwardly projecting catch which terminates in a click projection being positioned at the inner side of a body. The body of the lower portion is from the inside provided with at least one click seat forming a click joint having a catch.
In the solution according to the present invention, the click seat constitutes a projection provided with a port, wherein a catch is positioned.
The lower portion of a skirting fastener consists of fitting up webs being connected to constitute one unit provided with projections forming the seat of a click joint and being upright positioned towards the vertical axis of the lower portion and which extend outside the skirting fastener's body.
In the advantageous solution the lower portion is provided with fitting up webs being positioned at its inside and pair wise arranged below the projections constituting a click joint .
The solution according to the present invention substantially makes the fitting easier and increases the functionality of a skirting system and more particularly in case of use of corner fitting fasteners.
The application of a replaceable upper portion of the skirting fastener, being temporary fastened with the lower portion, enables the exposure of an inner area without the necessity of disassembling of skirting systems being immovable fixed which is extremely important while replacing conductors being arranged under the skirting, or while painting the walls of a room.
The object of the present invention is presented by way of embodiments, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows an end view of the skirting fastener according to the present invention being provided with fitting up webs extending outside the fastener's body;
Figure Ia shows the skirting fastener according to Figure 1 in a perspective view;
Figure 2 shows the skirting fastener according to the present invention being provided with fitting up webs positioned under the click joints,-
Figure 2a shows the skirting fastener according to Figure 2 in a view from the inside;
Figure 3a shows and end view of the upper portion of the skirting fastener from the inside;
Figure 3b shows an end view of the upper portion of the skirting fastener from the outside;
Figure 3c shows a perspective view of the upper portion of a skirting fastener from the outside;
Figure 4 shows the skirting fastener according to Figure 1 in a bottom view;
Figure 5 shows a detail "A" being shown in Figure 2;
Figure 6 shows a detail "B" being shown in Figure 2,-
Figure 7 shows the skirting fastener according to Figure 2 in a top view; and
Figure 8 shows the lower portion of the skirting fastener according to Figure 2 in a top view. In the attached drawings have been shown the embodiments of skirting fasteners in accordance with the present invention, being used as corner fitting fasteners to connect the longitudinal skirting elements at room corners. The outer area of the fasteners' bodies fits the outer shape of a profile skirting. However, the present invention is not restricted to those embodiments.
The corner fitting fastener as shown in Figure 1 consists of a lower portion 1 and of an upper portion 2 being connected with each other by means of the click joint 6 as shown in detail in Figure 6. The body 7 of the lower portion 1 is provided at its inner side in accordance with that embodiment with two click seats 8 being symmetrical positioned. Each of the seats as shown in Figure 8 and in Figure 6 includes the projection 9 being provided with the port 10. The fitting up webs 11 and 12, being positioned toward each other at the right angle, are connected to the upper ends of the click seats 8 and constitute one unit with those seats. Those L-shaped webs are to be used for connecting the body of the skirting fastener with a room wall. The end portions of the upright walls of both webs are provided with orifices 15.
The upper portion 2 of the skirting fastener as shown in Figures 3a to 3c consists of a convex body 3 being limited through edges positioned at an angle nearing the right angle. As it is evident from Figure 7 that angle is 92° in this embodiment. The lower portion of the body 3 is provided at its inner side with two catches 4 extending downwards and terminating with catch projections 5. Those catches constitute in this embodiment one unit with the body 3.
While fitting the skirting board the lower portion 1 of the skirting fastener is fixed at the very beginning, and afterwards the click projections 5 of the upper portion 2 are fixed in ports 10 of the click seats 8. The spacing of the click projections and the seats 8 should be properly defined, to make connecting of the both portions possible.
Figure 2 shows the embodiment according to the present invention comprising the structure of a corner fitting fastener of the skirting board consisting of two portions, i.e. of the lower portion 1 and the upper portion 2 being connected by means of the click joint 6. Unlike the above- described example, in this embodiment the lower portion of the skirting fastener has been provided with inner fitting up webs 13, 14 being positioned under the click seats 8. In accordance with Figure 2a and Figure 5 as shown, the lower portion 1 is provided with two pairs of fitting up webs placed one above another and being fixed from the inside. Those webs are used for fixing of the lower portion of the skirting fastener inside the appropriate longitudinal elements of the skirting board.
Like it was in a case of the above presented embodiment, the lower portion 1 is mounted at the very beginning of the fitting, and afterwards the upper portion 2 is mounted with the help of click joints 6.
