Abstract

 本発明は、燃料極(13)と空気極(16)とこれらに挟持された電解質膜(17)とを有する膜電極接合体(2)と、液体燃料を収容する燃料収容部(4)とを具備する、燃料電池に関する。前記燃料電池は、燃料を補給すれば連続して長時間発電することが可能であるため、小型化して、携帯用電子機器の電源とする試みがなされている。前記燃料電池における、前記膜電極接合体と前記燃料収容部とを流路を介して接続した場合、流路の形状等によって、燃料の供給量が調整できるものの、燃料の供給状態が不均一になり、前記燃料電池の出力が低下する等の問題があった。本発明は、前記燃料電池に、前記燃料極の複数箇所に対して燃料を供給する燃料分配機構(3)を設け、前記燃料分配機構と前記燃料収容部とを流路(5)を介して接続すること等によって、上記の問題の解決を図ったものである。
