Abstract

　本発明の燃料噴射装置は、プランジャ（１１０）を摺動自在に収容して燃料の圧送室（Ｃ）を画定する筒体（１４０）、圧送室に連通し得る供給口（１６１ａ）をもつ燃料の供給通路（２２１ａ）、供給通路内の燃料が圧送室へ流入するのを許容する第１弁体（１６０）、燃料の一部を元に戻し得る戻し通路（１３６）、供給通路と戻し通路を連通する連通路（１４７）、圧送室内の燃料を戻し通路に排出する排出口（１４１ｂ）をもつ排出通路（１４６）、圧送室内の加圧された燃料を噴射する噴射ノズル（３００）を備え、排出通路（１４６）は、供給口（１６１ａ）及び排出口（１４１ｂ）よりも上方の所定位置まで延在する隔壁（１４８）により連通路（１４７）から隔離されて、戻し通路（１３６）に連通するように形成されている。これによれば、圧送室内の燃料に混入したベーパが効率良く排出され、特に高温時において安定した高精度の燃料噴射を行うことができる。
