Abstract

A silicone resin (7) is coated on an outer wall (1b) in a tail cylinder (1) comprising an inner wall (1a) having a cooling hole (2a) packed with a resin (4) to constitute a thermal insulation coating. In order to remove the resin (4) by combustion or decomposition, the tail cylinder (1) is heated in an atmospheric furnace. This causes a part of the silicone resin (7) to be decomposed or evaporated, and the other part stays on the outer wall (1b) to protect the outer wall (1b). Oxidation or oxidation-derived unevenness in color of the outer wall (1b) can be reduced by protecting the outer wall (1b) with the silicone resin (7). Accordingly, the time necessary for rendering the appearance of the tail cylinder (1) after incineration treatment in the tail cylinder (1) good can be significantly shortened. The heat treatment can be applied to incineration treatment in the tail cylinder (1), as well as to all products necessary for heat treatment.
