Abstract
Disclosed is an energy converter using the movements of vehicles on a road. When vehicles ride over mechanical pedal units, the pedals are pushed down and transform the movement of the vehicles into mechanical energy and electric signals to generate electrical power.
Description
Energy converter
Background of the Invention;
It is Known that world net electricity consumption is 15.000 Billion KW/h and expected to reach 25.000 Billion KW/h year 2020, The average cost for electrical energy from recourses (Nuclear, coal, Natural Gas, Oil) varies from 4:11 cent / kw/h
Figure 77 World Met Electricity Consumption in
The current international market volume for electricity is 513.314 Billion $ US with an expectation to reach 889.200 Billion $ US year 2020
The autos Manufacturers trying always to increase there production from (vehicles & trucks) sold world wide annually 150 Million Vehicle (for example, United states of America only has 132 Million registered Vehicle and length of major, Sec roads exceeds KM 6 Million, (see table)
Third point of view, the challenge of controlling Traffic congestion On roads, became one of the main issues to increase the contribution of transport system in the economy and Gross Domestic Product (For example traffic congestion cost Japan $120 billion each year)
Therefore any country tries to build an intelligent network for monitoring traffic reporting systems will be highly considered and desired to secure governmental investments.
All previous parameters, . annual increasing consumption of electricity, increased production of international autos parallel to construction and maintaining longer and wider roads and the challenge of building monitoring traffic system that lead me to introduce the Egyptian electric pedal to utilize the increasing production of autos to cover the gape of electrical resources in the future plus managing a perfect monitoring traffic system
Summary of the Invention;
The invention targets to use utilize, vehicles movement on roads to generate electricity and monitor road traffic in a new revolutionary -way could change the world energy map in the coming 50 years
Mechanical pedal units are fitted across roads and highways (each 1 km or 5 km depends on wanted kw/h per km) to transform vehicles movement (waves of vehicles) into mechanical energy and electrical signals, which leads to generating electric power and networking of all pedals along major roads & highways leads to efficient effective traffic management .
Detailed Example of the invention
I have developed charts gives relations between length of roads, traffic volumes and generated electricity kw/h.
For example across length of 100 KM 2 lanes, traffic volume 2k-5k per day could make.14.4 MW capacity what makes 124 million kw/h ...the running cost will zero just maintenance (cost ./ kw/h can not exceed 1 cent any way) the needed investment is $ 2.6 million
The initial investment and running cost compared with other resources is 50% lower and clean 100% plus the benefits of running a traffic monitoring systems.
Claims
Claims
Egyptian Electrical Pedal
1- A first unite utilize vehicle movement on roads to generate electricity
2- First application transmits and provide permanent monitoring traffic reporting systems
3- Generating clean environment electrical power
4- In the peak periods of vehicle traffic volumes the mechanical power will be charged in time when traffic volumes is low.
5- Distributing electrical recourses on roads minimize shortage or sudden collapse of concentrated electrical power supply as (big power stations) (where electrical pedals are scattered along highways and roads
6- Minimizing dramatically the length of networks to transmit electricity from power station to cities and area of uses
7- The first direct application for EEP Egyptian electric pedal is to light all roads and public utilities application
