Description
[DESCRIPTION]
[Title of Invention]
DETACHABLE HANDLES AND STRUCTURE OF THE VESSELS [Technical Field] This application claims priority of Korean Utility Model Application No.20-2006-0031687 filed on December 12, 2006, the entirety of which is incorporated by reference herein.
The present invention relates to a detachable handle for a cooking vessel that is detachably mounted on a body of a vessel and a structure of the cooking vessel, and more particularly, to a detachable handle for a cooking vessel that can be easily attached to and removed from the cooking vessel in every direction according to the feature of a circular vessel and a structure of the cooking vessel.
The term "cooking vessel" as defined herein, generally refers to a pot or a frying pan. The present invention is characterized in that since the cooking vessel is formed in a circular shape, a handle is removably attached to the circular vessel in every direction, which can be of course attached to and removed from a pot and a frying pan. A pot as a cooking vessel will be described in the present invention.
[Background Art] Conventionally, there have been proposed various kinds of detachable handles for a pot which can prevent the handles from being hot while on a stove top when safely moving the pot to a desired position and can save a substantial amount of storage space occupied when the pot is placed in a given space like a kitchen cabinet or a refrigerator when not in
use. However, the conventional detachable handles need a coupling device for mounting the detachable handle to a specific selected position on a pot body, such that the handle can be detachably mounted only to the specific selected position of the pot body. When the handle is mounted to the pot so as to move the pot to a given position after cooking, it should be mounted separately to only the coupling device provided at the pot body, thereby making it inconvenient in use. The representative of such detachable handle products is, for example, the model name ΛSalvaspazio' made by a company λLagostina' in Italy.
Alternatively, there is presented a vessel product having a handle which can be detachably mounted in every direction, which is put on the market in a model name ΛMagic hands' made by a company ΛTefal' in France. However, the product Λmagic hands' still has a problem in that it is detachably mounted to the vessel only when a lid of the vessel is opened, and it is used solely, such that it cannot be securely mounted to a relatively large-sized vessel. [Disclosure] [Technical Problem]
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve these problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a detachable handle for a cooking vessel that are detachably mounted to the cooking vessel in a simple manner in every direction according to the features of a circular vessel, and a structure of the cooking vessel. [Technical Solution] To achieve the above objects, there is provided a detachable handle for a cooking vessel, wherein the cooking
vessel is formed to allow the upper outer periphery of a circular vessel body to be protruded to the outside such that the protruded upper outer periphery is molded to an upper supporting rim and an outer supporting rim extending downwardly from the upper supporting rim, thereby allowing a space defined by the upper periphery of the vessel body, the upper supporting rim and the outer supporting rim to form an inner supporting plate-receiving recess, wherein the detachable handle for the cooking vessel comprises: an outer supporting rim-receiving recess formed by a space defined between an inner supporting plate and a protecting plate that are formed in a predetermined curve, the outer supporting rim-receiving recess having a bottom supporting plate formed along the bottom portion thereof; a body supporting plate formed in the same curve as that of the vessel body in such a manner as to extend downwardly from the inner supporting plate and the protecting plate and disposed beneath the bottom supporting plate; a connecting member slantly extending upwardly from the protecting plate; and a grip attached to a free end of the connecting member.
According to the present invention, a circle's feature is utilized in which when two circles having the same diameter faces each other, they conform in shapes to their all parts. Generally, a pot body and a lid have a circular shape in their cross-section, such that although the lid is placed in every direction on the pot body, it conveniently covers the pot body.
As the present invention is based on the circle's feature, the handle can be detachably mounted to the pot body in every direction. That is, there are two circles A and A' having the same diameter as each other, and even if a curvβ B
partly separated from the circle A' is superposingly placed on any part of the circle A, it conforms in shape to the circle A. According to the present invention, the circle A corresponds to the upper outer periphery of the pot body, and the curve B to the outer periphery of the detachable handle.
Based upon the circle's feature, according to the present invention, the upper outer periphery of the pot body is molded so as to protrude to the outside, thereby forming the entire outer rim of the pot body, and the detachable handle is formed so as to be mounted at any position of the outer rim of the pot body, thereby being easily attached to and removed from the pot in every direction.
Therefore, since a detachable handle for a cooking vessel of the present invention can be detachably mounted to- the cooking vessel easily in every direction, it is very convenient to use.
As mentioned above, in other words, the product λSalvaspazio' is detachably mounted only on a specific position of the pot body, and the product 'Magic hands' is detachably mounted on the pot body in every direction, only after the lid is separated from the pot body. Moreover, since the product ΛMagic hands' is used solely for all vessels having different sizes, it cannot be securely mounted to a relatively large-sized vessel. However, the detachable handle according to the present invention can be detachably mounted on the pot body in every direction, while the lid is not being separated from the pot body, and further, one or two handles can be selectively used according to the size of the pot to be used. FIG.5 is a front view showing the detachable handle for the cooking vessel.
FIG.6 is a side view showing the detachable handle for the cooking vessel. FIG.7 is a cross-sectional view showing the detachable handle mounted to the cooking vessel embodied according to the present invention.
FIG.8 is a cross-sectional view showing a state where the detachable handle is really adopted to a frying pan. [Best Mode for Invention]
As mentioned above, the conventional detachable handles are detachably mounted only on a specific portion of a pot body, but according to the present invention, a detachable handle is detachably mounted on the pot body in every direction, such that the upper outer periphery of the pot body is protruded to the outside, thereby forming the entire outer rim of the pot body.
In the structure of a cooking vessel according to the present invention, the upper outer periphery of the pot body is protruded to the outside, as shown in FIG.l, and the protruded upper outer periphery of the pot body is molded to
an upper supporting rim 2 and an outer supporting rim 3 extending downwardly from the upper supporting rim 2, as shown in FIGS.2 and 3. Moreover, as shown in FIG.3, a space defined by the upper periphery of the pot body 1, the upper supporting rim 2 and the outer supporting rim 3 is an inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 serving as an important element in the present invention.
In the detachable handle for the cooking vessel having the same structure according to the present invention, an outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8 is formed at the lower side of a grip 11 in an opposite sectional shape to the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 of the pot body 1, as shown in FIG.6, such that the outer supporting rim- receiving recess 8 is engaged with and disengaged from the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 so as to allow the detachable handle to be removably mounted to the pot body.
In the detachable handle for the cooking vessel according to the present invention, as shown in FIG.6, a space defined by an inner supporting plate 5, a bottom supporting plate 6 and a protecting plate 7 forms an outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8. As shown in FIGS.5 and 6, a body supporting plate 9 is formed in the same a curve as that of the pot body 1 in such a manner as to extend downwardly from the inner supporting plate 5 and the protecting plate 7 and is disposed beneath the bottom supporting plate 6. Further, a connecting member 10 is slantly extended upwardly from the protecting plate 7, and a grip 11 is attached to a free end of the connecting member 10.
The respective parts of the detachable handle excepting the connecting member 10 and the grip 11 have the same curves
as that of the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 and the outer supporting rim 3 of the pot body 1.
Under the above-mentioned configuration, the detachable mounting of the detachable handle to the pot body according to the present invention is achieved by disengagedly engaging the outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8 to the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 of the pot body 1.
Such detachable mounting is very simply performed such that the inner supporting plate 5 of the detachable handle is just inserted from the lower side to the upper side of the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 of the pot body 1 in every direction, as shown in FIG.7. As a result, the outer supporting rim 3 of the pot body 1 is inserted into the outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8 of the detachable handle such that the outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8 is engaged with the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4. Likewise, if the detachable handle is mounted to the pot body 1, the pot is freely moved, and upon movement of the pot, the functions of each part are as follows: If the grip 11 is held by a user's hand, the upper side of the inner supporting plate 5 is supported by means of the pot body 1 and the upper supporting rim 2, and the lower periphery of the outer supporting rim 3 is supported by means of the bottom supporting plate 6 of the detachable handle. The body supporting plate 9 serves to support the pot body 1. The inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 serves to prevent the inner supporting plate 5 from escaping therefrom, and the outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8 serves to prevent the outer supporting rim 3 from escaping therefrom, such that the pot can be safely moved. In this case, the protecting plate 7 serves to prevent a user's hand from
touching the pot body 1 being heated and at the same time to prevent the outer supporting rim 3 of the pot body 1 from being bent outwardly.
If the grip 11 is moved downward after the pot is moved, the inner supporting plate 5 escapes from the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4, and the outer supporting rim 3 escapes from the outer supporting rim-receiving recess 8, such that the detachable handle of the present invention can be easily removed from the pot body 1. [industrial Applicability of the Invention]
As described above, according to the present invention, the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 is molded along the upper outer periphery of the pot body 1, and the inner supporting plate 5 of the detachable handle is curvedly formed to be inserted into the inner supporting plate- receiving recess 4 of the pot body 1, such that the detachable handle of the present invention can be applied to all kinds of circular cooking vessels including a pot.
For example, according to the present invention, one detachable handle can be applied to a frying pan.
As shown in FIG.8, the upper supporting rim 2 and the outer supporting rim 3 are molded along the upper outer periphery of a pan body 1, thereby forming the inner supporting plate-receiving recess 4 as a space defined by the upper periphery of the pan body 1, the upper supporting rim 2 and the outer supporting rim 3, which has the same structure as the pot as mentioned above.
The detachable handle also has the same structure as mentioned above. As shown in FIG.8, particularly, the connecting member 10 is bent to be substantially horizontally to the upper periphery of the pan body 1, and the grip 11 is
extended further longer, which provides the convenience in holding it. The method of using the detachable handle for the frying pan is the same as that for the pot.
Additionally, according to the present invention, one detachable handle can be applied to a relatively small-sized pot like a frying pan.
