Technisches Gebiet
Die vorliegende Offenbarung betrifft eine neuartige Technologie zur Erdbebenwarnung.
Stand der Technik
Es ist bekannt, dass Erdbeben im Erdmantel entstehen und zuerst die schnell laufenden p-Wellen an der Erdoberfläche eintreffen. Die nachfolgenden Erdstöße, die die zerstörerische Wirkung eines Erdbebens entfalten, treffen ca. 20 sec später an der Erdoberfläche ein. Basierend auf diesem Wissen wird z.B. in Japan ein Erdbebenwarnsystem installiert, das mit über 1.000 Sensoren das entsprechende Risiko erkennt und entsprechende Informationen versendet. Das Problem ist, dass diese Systeme nur dann funktionieren, wenn praktisch genau über dem Erdbebenherd ein seismischer Sensor an ein Kommunikationsnetz angeschlossen ist.
Zusammenfassung
Gemäß der vorliegenden Offenbarung wird eine Technologie zur Erdbebenwarnung vorgeschlagen, die auf der seismischen Sensitivität von Computerfestplatten beruht. Dabei wird eine Echtzeitauswertung der Signale über ein schnelles Kommunikationsnetz genutzt, um die jedem Erdbeben vorauseilenden p-Wellen ortsaufgelöst zu registrieren und eine Warnmeldung
nach Verifikation der Daten über ein elektronisches Informationsnetz zu kommunizieren.
Weitere Ausgestaltungen und mögliche Implementierungen ergeben sich aus der Beschreibung und der beiliegenden Zeichnung.
Es versteht sich, dass die voranstehend genannten und die nachstehend noch zu erläuternden Merkmale nicht nur in der jeweils angegebenen Kombination, sondern auch in anderen Kombinationen oder in Alleinstellung verwendbar sind, ohne den Rahmen der vorliegenden Offenbarung zu verlassen.
Ein mögliches Ausführungsbeispiel ist in der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt und wird im folgenden unter Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnung ausführlich beschrieben.
Kurzbeschreibung der Zeichnung
Figur 1 zeigt eine stark schematische, nicht maßstäbliche Darstellung eines Ausführungsbeispieles eines Erdbebenwarnsystems gemäß der vorliegenden Offenbarung .
Figur 2 veranschaulicht stark schematisch und nicht maßstäblich die Wirkungsweise des vorgeschlagenen Erdbebenwarnsystems .
Figur 3 zeigt ebenfalls stark schematisch und nicht maßstäblich ein Ausführungsbeispiel für eine Vernetzung eines vorgeschlagenen Erdbebenwarnsystems.
Detaillierte Beschreibung der Zeichnung
Der Offenbarung liegt die Erkenntnis zugrunde, dass Festplatten von Rechnern bzw. Computern erdbebenempfindlich sind. Die vorgeschlagene Lösung nutzt diese Sensitivität von Computerfestplatten für die Erkennung entsprechender seismischer Signale.
Figur 1 zeigt schematisch ein in der vorliegenden Beschreibung vorgeschlagenes Erdbebenwarnsystem. Dabei sind drei als Detektoren dienende Rechnersysteme 3, 8, und 9 gezeigt, die jeweils mit einer Computerfestplatte ausgestattet sind. Es handelt sich dabei um moderne Computerfestplatten, die jeweils über mehrere Bewegungssensoren verfügen, um eine Störung der Festplatte zu erkennen und Schäden zu vermeiden, die bei Erschütterungen aller Art drohen. Das Verhalten einer einzelnen Festplatte, wie bspw. der Festplatte 1 des ComputerSystems 3, die mit einem oder mehreren Bewegungssensoren 2 ausgestattet ist, kann allerdings keinerlei Hinweis auf einen Erdstoß geben, da eine Vielzahl von anderen Erschütterungsquellen die Bewegungssensoren 2 regelmäßig ansprechen lässt.
Daher wird die Information einer Erschütterung gemäß der vorliegenden Offenbarung von einem jeweiligen Rechnersystem 3 über einen jeweiligen Netzwerkanschluss 4 an ein Netzwerk 5 und darüber an ebenfalls an das Netzwerk angeschlossene, benachbarte Rechnersysteme 8, 9 weitergegeben.
Wie weiter in Figur 2 gezeigt, kann damit das koinzidente Auftreten von Erschütterungen bei mehreren, örtlich getrennten Festplatten 13, 17 erkannt werden, was ein Anzeichen für seismische Schwingungen 10 ist. Diese können allerdings wieder vielfältige Ursachen haben, etwa Bahn- oder LKW-Verkehr.
Liegt die Ursache der Erschütterung in einem Erdbeben 11 dessen p-Wellen 10 vor den zerstörerischen s-Wellen 12 an die Erdoberfläche 18 gelangen, dann ist der Zeitablauf der Erschütterungen in den Detektoren 3, 8, 9, 13, 17 charakteristisch in der Form, dass das Signal zuerst in Detektor 3 eintrifft, dann in den Detektoren 8, 9 und danach an den Detektoren 13, 17.
Aus den EintreffZeitpunkten der Signale und der bekannten Laufgeschwindigkeit von seismischen Wellen kann von einer zentralen Rechenanlage 7, die über einen Netzwerkanschluss 6 an das Netzwerk 5 angeschlossen ist, der Ort des Bebens 11 berechnet werden. Dazu sendet das System 8 nach Erkennen der annähernden Koinzidenz den Zeitpunkt der Messung des Bebens, die gemessene Intensität, falls verfügbar, sowie die Information über den Ort des Detektors 8 an die zentrale Rechenanlage 7. Die zentrale Rechenanlage 7 informiert alle benachbarten Rechnersysteme 3, 9, 13, 17, damit diese ihre Sensordaten an die Zentrale liefern. In der Praxis wird die Zahl der Sensoren wesentlich größer sein als hier in der exemplarisch vorgestellten Ausführungsform gezeigt.
Wird eine erste Auslöseschwelle erreicht, werden die Daten auch nach der genauen zeitlichen Abfolge und Signalform analysiert. Zeigt sich eine radial symmetrische Verteilung, die zudem zeitlich der Ausbreitungsgeschwindigkeit von p- Wellen entspricht und ist die Signalhöhe über einer zweiten Auslöseschwelle, so kommt es zu einer Erdbebenwarnung.
Diese Erdbebenwarnung wird über schnelle Kommunikationsnetze, etwa Internet, SMS oder Radio, an die betroffenen Einwohner in der Region, die um das errechnete Zentrum des Bebens liegt, verbreitet. Dazu wird, wie in Figur 3 gezeigt, die Information über eine Schnittstelle 22 zwischen dem
Netzwerk 5 und Mobilfunknetz 26 weitergegeben und über Mobilfunksender 23 per Radiowelle 24 an die Empfänger 25 weitergegeben. Dabei kann in der Warnung das genaue Zentrum als Ortsangabe mitgeteilt werden, und es können entsprechende Handlungen eingeleitet oder empfohlen werden. Darunter fällt das Abschalten der Gasversorgung als Vorsorge vor Bränden oder das Verlassen von Gebäuden oder das Aufsuchen eines sicheren Ortes im Gebäude usw.
Den Nutzern des Systems, die ihre Rechner als Detektor zur Verfügung stellen, kann über das Netzwerk 5 die Information an die teilnehmenden vernetzten Rechner 3, 8, 9 bspw. über einen Lautsprecher 20 oder eine optische Ausgabe 21 sofort mitgeteilt werden. Den anderen Teilnehmern, die ebenfalls an das Netzwerk 5 angeschlossen sind, kann die Information ebenfalls gegeben werden.
Der Standort der Festplatten wird von den Nutzern direkt eingegeben, oder der Standort der Festplatte wird über das verwendete Kommunikationsnetz automatisch ermittelt. Der Standort der Festplatte kann auch über einen ortsnahen GPS- oder Galileo-Empfänger direkt ermittelt werden. Die Warnung wird den Rechnern, die in das System eingebucht sind, sofort von der Zentrale zugesendet. Die Warnung wird mit der errechneten Ortsangabe an MobiIfunkgeräte weitergeleitet.
Claims
1. System zur Warnung vor Erdbeben, das die von p-Wellen ausgelösten Erschütterungssignale von Computerfestplatten einer Mehrzahl von miteinander vernetzten Rechnern zur Erdbebenwarnung nutzt.
2. System zur Warnung vor Erdbeben, das das nahezu synchrone Anschlagen der Erschütterungs-Detektoren in Computerfestplatten einer Mehrzahl von miteinander vernetzten Rechnern nutzt, um signifikante Signale zu erhalten.
3. System zur Warnung vor Erdbeben, das als Signale Verhaltensänderungen einer Computerfestplatte, wie eine leicht veränderte Fehlerrate, nutzt.
4. System zur Warnung vor Erdbeben nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei eine Warnsoftware bzw. ein Warnmodul auf einem Rechner des Systems installiert ist, die bzw. das er- debebenrelevante Signale und ggf. Informationen an mindestens ein weiteres System sendet, um Prüfungen auf eine Korrelation vorzunehmen.
5. System zur Warnung vor Erdbeben nach Anspruch 4, wobei das mindestens eine weitere System ein zentrales System ist, das korrelierte Signale auf die Ausbreitungsform von Erdbeben analysiert.
