Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine neue Klasse von Leuchtstoffen (Phosphore) auf der Basis einer universell dotierbaren Matrix aus einem amorphen, allenfalls teilkristallinen Netzwerk aus den Elementen P, Si, B, AI und N, vorzugsweise der Zusammensetzung Si3B3N7. Optische Anregung und Emission können in diesem System durch Einbau beliebiger kationischer Aktivatoren, einzeln oder kombiniert, aber auch, durch Inkorporierung von Sauerstoff als anionischer Komponente über den ganzen praktisch relevanten Bereich variiert werden. Damit erschließt sich das volle Anwendungsspektrum für Leuchtstoffe, wie etwa für Beleuchtungssysteme oder elektronische Bildschirme.
