Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for continuously preparing fatty acid esters from biogenic fat- or oil-containing starting materials with variable proportions of free fatty acids by acid- or base-catalyzed transesterification of fatty acid glycerides. The process according to the invention is characterized in that it proceeds continuously in a multistage process, and in that the transesterification products are worked up under anhydrous conditions.
