空気調和装置の室内ユニット
技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、空気調和装置の室内ユニットに関する。
背景技術
[0002] 空気調和装置の室内ユニットでは、そのケーシングに形成されている吹き出し口の 近傍において、同じく吹き出し口の近傍に存在する各種部品により隙間が規定され ること力 Sある。このような場合、室内ユニットの運転時に、ケーシングの内部から室内 へと吹き出される気流に巻き込まれた湿気を含む室内空気が当該隙間に入り込み、 当該隙間においてこの室内空気に含まれる水分が結露して成長し、ケーシングの外 部に滴下すること力 Sある。特に、室内ユニットが冷房運転を行っている場合には、吹き 出し口を介して室内へと吹き出される空気が低温であるため、吹き出し口の近傍の隙 間に入り込んだ室内空気がそうした冷気によって冷却され、結露水が成長し易くなる 。また、特に、室内ユニットが冷房運転または除湿運転を行っている場合には、ケー シングの内部において蒸発器として機能する熱交換器から伝えられる冷気によって 吹き出し口の近傍の隙間に入り込んだ室内空気が冷却され、結露水の成長が助長さ れ得る。
[0003] そこで、特許文献 1では、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される空間の入口および内部に 吸水材を設置し、このような結露水の滴下を防レヽでレ、る。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0004] しかしながら、特許文献 1の場合、吸水材の分だけコスト高になり、必ずしも得策で あるとは言い難い。
本発明の課題は、空気調和装置の室内ユニットにおいて、簡易に吹き出し口の近 傍における結露水の成長を抑制し、ひいては、その滴下を抑制することにある。 課題を解決するための手段 [0005] 第 1発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、ケーシングと、隙間規定部材と を備える。ケーシングには、室内空気の吸い込み口および吹き出し口が形成されて いる。隙間規定部材は、吹き出し口の近傍に室内空気の入り込む隙間を規定する。 隙間規定部材には、通風抵抗増大領域が形成されている。通風抵抗増大領域は、 上記隙間内の通風抵抗を増大させるような形状を有する。
この室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に存在する隙間規定部材により、吹き出 し口の近傍に隙間が規定される。なお、当該隙間は、隙間規定部材となる複数の部 材間に形成される隙間であってもよレ、し、隙間規定部材となる単一の部材の複数の 部位間に形成される隙間であってもよい。そして、隙間規定部材には、室内ユニット の運転により形成される気流が当該隙間に入り込むことを抑制する通風抵抗増大領 域が形成されている。その結果、当該気流に巻き込まれた湿気を含む室内空気が、 吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙間に入り込むことが抑制されることになる。これによ り、この室内ユニットでは、簡易に吹き出し口の近傍における結露水の成長を抑制し 、ひいては、その滴下を抑制することができる。
[0006] 第 2発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 1発明に力、かる室内ユニット であって、熱交換器と、ドレンパンとをさらに備える。熱交換器は、ケーシングの内部 に配置され、吸い込み口を介してケーシングの内部に吸い込まれた空気との間で熱 交換を行う。ドレンパンは、熱交換器に近接し、熱交換器において発生したドレン水 を受け取る。ケーシングは、正面パネルおよび背面ケーシングを有する。正面パネル には、吸い込み口および吹き出し口が形成されている。背面ケーシングは、壁面に 取り付けられる。隙間規定部材は、ドレンパンと正面パネルとの間に配置されている。 この室内ユニットは、壁掛け用の室内ユニットである。そして、この室内ユニットでは 、隙間規定部材が、吹き出し口が形成されている正面パネルと熱交換器に近接する ドレンパンとの間に配置されている。したがって、隙間規定部材により規定される隙間 は、冷房運転時や除湿運転時のように熱交換器が蒸発器として機能する場合には、 当該熱交換器の存在により冷却され易く結露の生じ易い環境となる。したがって、こ の室内ユニットにおいては、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙間に室内空気が入り 込むことを抑制する構造を採用することは、特に有用となる。 [0007] 第 3発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 1発明または第 2発明にかか る室内ユニットであって、隙間規定部材は、正面視において吸い込み口と吹き出し口 との間に配置されている。
この室内ユニットでは、隙間規定部材が、正面視において吸い込み口と吹き出し口 との間に配置されている。したがって、隙間規定部材により規定される隙間は、室内 ユニットの運転により形成される気流の通路となり易ぐまた、冷房運転時のように吹 き出し口を介して室内へと吹き出される空気が低温である場合には、当該吹き出され る空気により冷却され易く結露の生じ易い環境となる。したがって、この室内ユニット においては、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制 する構造を採用することは、特に有用となる。
[0008] 第 4発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 1発明から第 3発明のいずれ 力、にかかる室内ユニットであって、隙間規定部材は、板状部を含む。板状部は、第 1 面および第 2面を有する。第 1面は、吹き出し口の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定す る。第 2面は、第 1面の裏側にあり、上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する。 通風抵抗増大領域は、第 2面に形成されている。
この室内ユニットでは、板状部のある面(第 1面)が吹き出し口の輪郭の少なくとも一 部分を規定し、その面の裏側の面(第 2面)が上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を 規定している。すなわち、上記隙間が吹き出し口に板状部をはさんで隣接しているこ とになり、室内ユニットの運転により形成される気流が当該隙間の入口に達し易くなつ ている。そこで、板状部の第 2面には、室内ユニットの運転により形成される気流が当 該隙間に入り込むことを抑制する工夫が施されている。したがって、この室内ユニット では、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制すること ができる。
[0009] 第 5発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 1発明から第 3発明のいずれ 力、にかかる室内ユニットであって、隙間規定部材は、板状部と、断熱材とを含む。板 状部は、第 1面および第 2面を有する。第 1面は、吹き出し口の輪郭の少なくとも一部 分を規定する。第 2面は、第 1面の裏側にあり、上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分 を規定する。第 3面は、第 2面に対向し、上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定 する。通風抵抗増大領域は、第 3面に形成されている。
この室内ユニットでは、板状部のある面(第 1面)が吹き出し口の輪郭の少なくとも一 部分を規定し、その面の裏側の面(第 2面)が上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を 規定している。そして、さらに、板状部の第 2面に対向する断熱材のある面(第 3面) 1 上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定している。すなわち、上記隙間が吹き 出し口に板状部をはさんで隣接していることになり、室内ユニットの運転により形成さ れる気流が当該隙間の入口に達し易くなつている。そこで、断熱材の第 3面には、室 内ユニットの運転により形成される気流が当該隙間に入り込むことを抑制する工夫が 施されている。したがって、この室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙 間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制することができる。
[0010] 第 6発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 1発明から第 5発明のいずれ 力、にかかる室内ユニットであって、通風抵抗増大領域は、凹凸形状を有している。 この室内ユニットでは、隙間規定部材には凹凸面が形成されており、この凹凸面が 上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定している。したがって、この室内ユニットで は、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙間の通風抵抗を増大させることができる。
[0011] 第 7発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 6発明に力、かる室内ユニット であって、通風抵抗増大領域には、保水溝が形成されている。
この室内ユニットでは、隙間規定部材の凹凸面には保水溝が形成されている。これ により、この室内ユニットでは、上記隙間において生じた結露水を保水溝に保持する ことができ、結露水の滴下を抑制することができる。また、保水溝に保持される結露水 の水面は、その表面張力により保水溝の開口面よりも隆起した輪郭を描くことになる。 したがって、この室内ユニットでは、保水溝に保持される結露水により、吹き出し口の 近傍に形成される隙間が室内ユニットの運転により形成される気流に対してシールさ れるため、当該隙間の通風抵抗をさらに増大させることができる。
[0012] 第 8発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 1発明から第 3発明のいずれ 力、にかかる室内ユニットであって、隙間規定部材は、板状部と、断熱材とを含む。板 状部は、第 1面および第 2面を有する。第 1面は、吹き出し口の輪郭の少なくとも一部 分を規定する。第 2面は、第 1面の裏側にあり、上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分 を規定する。断熱材は、第 2面に対向し、上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定 する第 3面を有する。通風抵抗増大領域は、第 2面および第 3面に形成されており、 第 2面と第 3面とを嵌合させるような凹凸形状を有して!/、る。
この室内ユニットでは、板状部のある面(第 1面)が吹き出し口の輪郭の少なくとも一 部分を規定し、その面の裏側の面(第 2面)が上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を 規定している。そして、さらに、板状部の第 2面に対向する断熱材のある面(第 3面) 1 上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定している。すなわち、上記隙間が吹き 出し口に板状部をはさんで隣接していることになり、室内ユニットの運転により形成さ れる気流が当該隙間の入口に達し易くなつている。そこで、板状部の第 2面および断 熱材の第 3面には、室内ユニットの運転により形成される気流が当該隙間に入り込む ことを抑制する工夫が施されている。より具体的には、板状部の第 2面および断熱材 の第 3面は、凹凸形状となっており、この凹凸面が上記隙間の輪郭の少なくとも一部 分を規定している。また、この凹凸形状の第 2面および第 3面は、互いに嵌合する。し たがって、この室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に形成される隙間の通風抵抗を 増大させること力 Sでさる。
[0013] 第 9発明にかかる空気調和装置の室内ユニットは、第 8発明に力、かる室内ユニット であって、第 2面および第 3面の少なくとも一方には、保水溝が形成されている。 この室内ユニットでは、隙間規定部材の凹凸面には保水溝が形成されている。これ により、この室内ユニットでは、上記隙間において生じた結露水を保水溝に保持する ことができ、結露水の滴下を抑制することができる。また、保水溝に保持される結露水 の水面は、その表面張力により保水溝の開口面よりも隆起した輪郭を描くことになる。 したがって、この室内ユニットでは、保水溝に保持される結露水により、吹き出し口の 近傍に形成される隙間が室内ユニットの運転により形成される気流に対してシールさ れるため、当該隙間の通風抵抗をさらに増大させることができる。
発明の効果
[0014] 第 1発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットでは、簡易に吹き出し口の近傍に おける結露水の成長を抑制し、ひいては、その滴下を抑制することができる。
第 2発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットにおいては、吹き出し口の近傍に形 成される隙間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制する構造を採用することが特に有用と なる。
第 3発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットにおいては、吹き出し口の近傍に形 成される隙間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制する構造を採用することが特に有用と なる。
第 4発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に形成され る隙間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制することができる。
第 5発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に形成され る隙間に室内空気が入り込むことを抑制することができる。

第 8発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に形成され る隙間の通風抵抗を増大させることができる。
第 9発明に力、かる空気調和装置の室内ユニットでは、吹き出し口の近傍に形成され る隙間において生じた結露水を保水溝に保持することができ、結露水の滴下を抑制 すること力 Sできる。また、保水溝に保持される結露水により、吹き出し口の近傍に形成 される隙間が室内ユニットの運転により形成される気流に対してシールされるため、 当該隙間の通風抵抗をさらに増大させることができる。

<第 1実施形態 >
(1)空気調和装置の外観 図 1は、本発明の第 1実施形態に力、かる室内ユニット 2を備える空気調和装置 1の 外観を示す図である。
この空気調和装置 1は、室内の壁面などに設置される室内ユニット 2と、室外に設置 される室外ユニット 3と、室内ユニット 2と室外ユニット 3とを接続する冷媒配管 4とを備 えており、各ユニット 2, 3のケーシング 23, 30内に収容された機器 ·弁類と冷媒配管 4とが接続されて冷媒回路を構成して!/、る。
[0019] (2)空気調和装置の冷媒回路
図 2は、空気調和装置 1の概略冷媒回路を示す図である。この冷媒回路は、主とし て、室内熱交換器 21、アキュムレータ 31、圧縮機 32、四路切換弁 33、室外熱交換 器 34および膨張弁 35から構成されて!/、る。
室内ユニット 2は、室内熱交換器 21を有しており、室内熱交換器 21は、室内空気と の間で熱交換を行う。また、室内ユニット 2は、室内ファン 22を有している。室内ファン 22が駆動されると、室内ユニット 2のケーシング 23内には気流が形成され、これによ り、室内空気が室内からケーシング 23内に吸い込まれ、吸い込まれた空気と室内熱 交換器 21との間で熱交換が行われ、熱交換後の空気がケーシング 23内から室内に 吹き出されることになる。室内ファン 22は、細長い円筒形状の羽根車 22aと、羽根車 22aを回転駆動するファンモータ 22bとを有しており、羽根車 22aの回転軸 A1 (図 3 参照)と交わる方向に空気を吹き出すクロスフローファンである。室内ユニット 2の詳 細な構成にっレ、ては後述する。
[0020] 室外ユニット 3は、圧縮機 32と、圧縮機 32の吐出側に接続された四路切換弁 33と 、圧縮機 32の吸入側に接続されたアキュムレータ 31と、四路切換弁 33に接続された 室外熱交換器 34と、室外熱交換器 34に接続された膨張弁 35とを有している。膨張 弁 35は、液側閉鎖弁 36を介して液冷媒配管 41に接続されており、この液冷媒配管 41を介して室内熱交換器 21の一端と接続されている。また、四路切換弁 33は、ガス 側閉鎖弁 37を介してガス冷媒配管 42に接続されており、このガス冷媒配管 42を介 して室内熱交換器 21の他端と接続されている。なお、冷媒配管 41、 42は、図 1の冷 媒配管 4に相当する。また、室外ユニット 3は、室外ファン 38を有している。室外ファン 38が駆動されると、室外ユニット 3のケーシング 30内には気流が形成され、これによ り、熱源としての室外空気が室外からケーシング 30内に吸い込まれ、吸い込まれた 空気と室外熱交換器 34との間で熱交換が行われ、熱交換後の空気がケーシング 30 内力、ら室外に吹き出されることになる。室外ファン 38は、プロペラ形状の翼を有する 羽根車 38aと、羽根車 38aを回転駆動するファンモータ 38bとを有しており、羽根車 3 8aの回転軸方向に空気を吹き出すプロペラファンである。
[0021] (3)室内ユニットの構成
室内ユニット 2は、図 1に示すように、正面視において左右方向に長いケーシング 2 3を有しており、このケーシング 23の内部には、前述の室内熱交換器 21や室内ファ ン 22が収容されている。
a)ケーシング
ケーシング 23は、図 1および図 3に示すように、主として、正面ノ ネノレ 51と、背面ケ 一シング 57とから構成されて!/、る。
正面パネル 51は、主として、天面部 52、正面部 53、右側面部 54、左側面部 55お よび底面部 56から構成されている。天面部 52は、ケーシング 23の天面を形成してい る。天面部 52には、ケーシング 23の幅方向に沿う複数のスリット状の開口力もなる吸 い込み口 52aが形成されている。なお、ケーシング 23の幅方向とは、正面視におけ る左右方向を意味する。正面部 53は、ケーシング 23の正面を形成している。正面部 53の天面部 52側の位置には、ケーシング 23の幅方向に沿う開口力もなる吸い込み 口 53aが形成されている。右側面部 54は、ケーシング 23の、室内ユニット 2の正面視 における右側の側面を形成しており、左側面部 55は、ケーシング 23の、室内ユニット 2の正面視における左側の側面を形成している。底面部 56は、ケーシング 23の底面 を形成している。底面部 56の正面部 53側の位置には、ケーシング 23の幅方向に沿 う開口力もなる吹き出し口 56aが設けられている。また、吹き出し口 56aには、室内に 吹き出される空気を案内するためのフラップ 58が設けられている。フラップ 58は、ケ 一シング 23の幅方向に平行な軸を中心に回動自在に設けられている。フラップ 58は 、フラップモータ(図示せず)によって駆動されることにより、吹き出し口 56aの開閉を fiうこと力 Sでさる。
[0022] 背面ケーシング 57は、室内ユニット 2の背面を形成しており、部屋の壁面に据え付 けられる。
b)室内ファン
図 5は、正面パネル 51およびフィルタ 25などの部品を取り除いた状態の室内ュニッ ト 2の斜視図である。
室内ファン 22は、クロスフローファンであり、主として、羽根車 22aと、ファンモータ 2 2bとを有している。羽根車 22aは、細長い略円筒形状を有しており、その側面には複 数の翼が設けられている。ファンモータ 22bは、羽根車 22aの上面および底面の略中 心を貫く回転軸 A1を中心に、羽根車 22aを回転駆動する。室内ファン 22の外形は、 概ね羽根車 22aにより形作られており、略円筒形状となっている。略円筒形状の室内 ファン 22は、図 5に示すように、その上面および底面が正面パネル 51の側面部 54, 55と平行に対向し、その幅方向がケーシング 23の幅方向と平行になるように配置さ れている。なお、略円筒形状の室内ファン 22の幅方向とは、その円筒の高さ方向を 意味する。また、室内ファン 22は、図 3に示すように、側面視においてケーシング 23 により規定される内部空間の略中央に位置しており、図 5に示すように、正面視にお Vヽてケ一シング 23と概ね同じ幅を有して!/、る。
ファンモータ 22bにより羽根車 22aが回転駆動されると、ケーシング 23内に気流が 形成される。すなわち、室内空気が吸い込み口 52a, 53aを介してケーシング 23内 へと流入する。そして、ケーシング 23内へと流入した空気は、室内熱交換器 21を通り 抜けて室内ファン 22に達し、羽根車 22aの回転に巻き込まれて室内ファン 22の下方 へと吹き出される。そして、室内ファン 22の下方へと吹き出された空気は、室内ファン 22の下方に配置されているスクロール部材 70の案内面 70a (後述する)に沿ってケ 一シング 23に形成されている吹き出し口 56aまで導かれ、再び室内へと送り出される
c)室内熱交換器
室内熱交換器 21は、主として、正面側熱交換器 61と、背面側熱交換器 62とを有し ている。室内熱交換器 21は、正面側熱交換器 61と背面側熱交換器 62とが連結され ることにより、側面視において逆 V字形状となっている。また、室内熱交換器 21は、正 面視においてケーシング 23と概ね同じ幅を有しており、図 3に示すように、室内ファン 22の上部および正面側を覆って!/、る。
[0024] 室内熱交換器 21は、ケーシング 23に形成されている吸い込み口 52a, 53aと対向 しており、吸い込み口 52a, 53aと室内熱交換器 21との間には、フィルタ 25が配置さ れている。フィルタ 25は、室内ファン 22の駆動により吸い込み口 52a, 53aを介して ケーシング 23内へと流入した空気に含まれる塵や埃などを吸着し、これらが除去され た空気を室内熱交換器 21へと送る役割を果たす。
d)スクロール部材
スクロール部材 70は、ケーシング 23の内部であって正面パネル 51の底面部 56側 かつ背面ケーシング 57側の位置に配置されている。スクロール部材 70は、正面視に おいてケーシング 23と概ね同じ幅を有しており、室内ファン 22の背面側および下部 を覆っている。すなわち、スクロール部材 70は、室内ファン 22に対して概ね室内熱 交換器 21の反対側に存在している。
[0025] スクロール部材 70は、室内ファン 22の駆動により室内ファン 22の下流に流された 空気をケーシング 23に形成されている吹き出し口 56aの近傍まで案内する案内面 7 Oaを有している。案内面 70aは、図 3に示すように、側面視において概ね滑らかな曲 線を描いており、案内面 70aの描く曲線の曲率中心は、室内ファン 22側に存在して いる。案内面 70aの上端は、室内ファン 22の上端と上下方向に概ね同じ位置にあり 、案内面 70aの側面視における左端は、室内ファン 22の側面視における左端と概ね 同じ位置にある。また、案内面 70aは、正面視においてケーシング 23と概ね同じ幅を 有している。
e)ドレンノ ン
ドレンパン 24は、正面側熱交換器 61の下方かつ吹き出し口 56aの上方に配置され ている。ドレンパン 24は、図 4に示すように、主として、底面部 24aと、正面側側壁部 2 4bと、背面側側壁部 24cとから構成されている。正面側側壁部 24bは、正面視にお いて底面部 24aの最も手前側の位置から手前側に向かって斜め上方に延びており、 背面側側壁部 24cは、正面視において底面部 24aの最も奥側の位置から手前側に 向かってやや斜め上方に延びている。底面部 24aおよび側壁部 24b, 24cは、正面 視において正面側熱交換器 61と概ね同じ幅を有している。底面部 24aおよび側壁 部 24b, 24cは、一体的に形成されている。これにより、ドレンパン 24は、正面側熱交 換器 61の表面において発生し、表面をったつて落下してくるドレン水を受け取ること ができるようになつている。
[0026] 室内ファン 22の駆動により室内熱交換器 21を通り抜ける空気は、室内熱交換器 2 1の伝熱管 63を流れる冷媒との間で熱交換を行って冷房運転時または除湿運転時 には冷却され、暖房運転時には加熱される。そして、冷房運転時または除湿運転時 には、空気中に含まれる水分が室内熱交換器 21の表面で結露することがある。正面 側熱交換器 61において結露した水は、正面側熱交換器 61の下方に配置されている ドレンパン 24により受け取られて回収され、回収後、ドレンパン 24に連通するドレン ホース(図示せず)などにより規定される所定の経路に沿って流れ、ケーシング 23外 へと排出される。
f)板状部
図 6は、図 5の状態からさらに断熱材 27 (後述する)および室内ファン 22などの部品 を取り除いた状態の室内ユニット 2の斜視図である。
[0027] 板状部 26は、図 4に示すように、ドレンパン 24と一体的に形成されており、ドレンパ ン 24の底面部 24aと正面側側壁部 24bとの境界から正面パネル 51の近傍まで略水 平に延びている。板状部 26は、正面視においてドレンパン 24と概ね同じ幅を有して いる。板状部 26とドレンパン 24の底面部 24aとは、同一平面を規定している。
板状部 26は、下方を向いた第 1面 26aと、第 1面 26aの裏側にあり、上方を向いた 第 2面 26bとを有している。第 1面 26aは、吹き出し口 56aの上方の輪郭を規定してい る。そして、板状部 26aは、第 2面 26b側に、図 4において破線で示される通風抵抗 増大領域 C1を有しており、通風抵抗増大領域 C1は、凹凸形状を有している。通風 抵抗増大領域 C1には、正面視において板状部 26全体と概ね同じ幅を有する複数 の保水溝 T1が形成されており、これら複数の保水溝 T1は、側面視における左右方 向に平行に並んでいる。
[0028] g)断熱材
正面パネル 51の正面部 53と、ドレンパン 24の正面側側壁部 24bと、板状部 26とに 囲まれる空間には、概ね当該空間の形に合わせて成形された断熱材 27が配置され ている。断熱材 27は、正面視においてドレンパン 24と概ね同じ幅を有している。断熱 材 27は、発泡スチロール製であり、ドレンパン 24の正面側側壁部 24bをはさんで隣 接する正面側熱交換器 61からの冷気が正面パネル 51側に伝わり、正面パネル 51 付近が過度に冷却されることを防ぐためのものである。
断熱材 27は、板状部 26の第 2面 26bと対向する下方を向いた第 3面 27aを有して いる。断熱材 27の第 3面 27aと板状部 26の第 2面 26bとの間には、隙間 S 1が形成さ れており、断熱材 27の第 3面 27aは、この隙間 S1の上方の輪郭を規定し、板状部 26 の第 2面 26bは、この隙間 S 1の下方の輪郭を規定している。そして、断熱材 27は、 第 3面 27a側に、図 4において破線で示される通風抵抗増大領域 C2を有しており、 通風抵抗増大領域 C2は、凹凸形状を有している。通風抵抗増大領域 C2には、板状 部 26の第 2面 26bに形成されている複数の保水溝 T1にはまり込み得る形状の複数 の突出部 Y1が形成されており、これら複数の突出部 Y1は、側面視における左右方 向に平行に並んでいる。突出部 Y1は、正面視において板状部 26全体と概ね同じ幅 を有している。
[0029] このように、板状部 26および断熱材 27にそれぞれ上述の通風抵抗増大領域 C1 , C2が形成されているため、隙間 S 1の通風抵抗が増大し、吹き出し口 56aから吹き出 される気流は、隙間 S 1へと進入しにくくなつている。また、通風抵抗増大領域 C1には 保水溝 T1が形成されているため、たとえ湿気を含む室内空気が隙間 S1に入り込み 、正面側熱交換器 61からの冷気または吹き出し口 56aを介して室内へと吹き出され る空気の冷気により冷却されて結露したとしても、その結露水は、保水溝 T1内に捉え られることになり、ケーシング 23外への滴下が抑制されることになる。さらに、保水溝 T1に溜まった結露水の水面は、その表面張力により保水溝 T1の開口面よりも隆起し た輪郭を描くことになるため、保水溝 T1に溜まった結露水は、隙間 S1に進入しようと する気流をプ'ロックすること力 Sできる。
[0030] <特徴〉
本実施形態に力、かる室内ユニット 2には、以下のような特徴がある。
(1)
室内ユニット 2では、吹き出し口 56aの近傍に存在する板状部 26および断熱材 27 により、吹き出し口 56aの近傍に隙間 S Iが規定される。そして、板状部 26および断 熱材 27は、室内ユニット 2の運転により形成される気流が隙間 S1に入り込むことを抑 制する通風抵抗増大領域 CI , C2を有している。通風抵抗増大領域 CI , C2は、互 いに嵌合する凹凸形状を有している。その結果、当該気流に巻き込まれた湿気を含 む室内空気が隙間 S1に入り込むことが抑制され、吹き出し口 56aの近傍における結 露水の成長が抑制され、ひいては、その滴下が抑制される。

板状部 26の通風抵抗増大領域 C2には、保水溝 T1が形成されている。そのため、 たとえ湿気を含む室内空気が隙間 S1に入り込み、隙間 S1内において結露が生じた としても、その結露水は、保水溝 T1に捉えられることになる。そして、保水溝 T1に捉 えられた結露水の水面は、その表面張力により保水溝 T1の開口面よりも隆起した輪 郭を描くことになる。その結果、保水溝 T1に結露水が溜まると、その結露水は隙間 S 1に進入しょうとする気流をブロックすることが可能であるため、隙間 S1の通風抵抗が さらに増大することになる。

以上、本発明の一実施形態について図面に基づいて説明したが、具体的な構成 は、この実施形態に限られるものではなぐ発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で変更可 能である。

上記実施形態においては、室内ユニット 2を壁掛け用としたが、本発明は、壁掛け 用以外の室内ユニットにも適用可能である。

上記実施形態においては、結露対策を施すべき隙間として板状部 26と断熱材 27 とにより規定される隙間 S1を例示したが、本発明は、室内ユニットの吹き出し口の近 傍に規定される任意の隙間に適用可能である。
(C)
上記実施形態においては、板状部 26の第 2面 26bおよび断熱材 27の第 3面 27a の両方を凹凸面としたが、どちらか一方のみを凹凸面としてもよい。 [0033] (D)
上記実施形態においては、通風抵抗増大領域 CI , C2を凹凸形状とし、通風抵抗 増大領域 C1に保水溝を設けたが、その他の方法により隙間 S1の通風抵抗を増大さ せるようにしてあよレヽ。

上記実施形態において、断熱材 27は、発泡スチロール製でなくてもよい。 (F)
上記実施形態において、板状部 26の第 2面 26bもしくは断熱材 27の第 3面 27a、 あるいはその双方に不織布などの吸水材を貼付してもよい。この場合、隙間 S1に溜 まった結露水の滴下がさらに抑制される。

請求の範囲
[1] 室内空気の吸い込み口(52a, 53a)および吹き出し口(56a)が形成されているケ 一シング(23)と、
前記吹き出し口(56a)の近傍に室内空気の入り込む隙間(S 1)を規定する隙間規 定部材(26 , 27)と、
を備え、
前記隙間規定部材(26, 27)には、前記隙間(S 1)内の通風抵抗を増大させるよう な形状を有する通風抵抗増大領域 (CI , C2)が形成されている、
空気調和装置(1)の室内ユニット (2)。
[2] 前記ケーシング(23)の内部に配置され、前記吸い込み口(52a, 53a)を介して前 記ケーシング(23)の内部に吸い込まれた空気との間で熱交換を行う熱交換器(21) と、
前記熱交換器(21)に近接し、前記熱交換器(21)において発生したドレン水を受 け取るドレンパン(24)と、
をさらに備え、
前記ケーシング(23)は、前記吸い込み口(52a, 53a)および前記吹き出し口(56a )が形成されている正面パネル(51)、ならびに壁面に取り付けられる背面ケーシング (57)を有し、
前記隙間規定部材(26, 27)は、前記ドレンパン(24)と前記正面パネル(51)との 間に配置されている、

[3] 前記隙間規定部材(26, 27)は、正面視において前記吸い込み口(53a)と前記吹 き出し口(56a)との間に配置されている、

前記吹き出し口(56a)の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する第 1面(26a)および前 記第 1面(26a)の裏側にあり前記隙間(S 1 )の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する第 2面(26b)を有する板状部(26)、 を含み、
前記通風抵抗増大領域 (CI)は、前記第 2面(26b)に形成されている、 請求項 1から 3の!/、ずれかに記載の空気調和装置(1)の室内ユニット(2)。
[5] 前記隙間規定部材 (26, 27)は、
前記吹き出し口(56a)の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する第 1面(26a)および前 記第 1面(26a)の裏側にあり前記隙間(S1)の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する第 2面(26b)を有する板状部(26)と、
前記第 2面(26b)に対向し、前記隙間(S1)の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する 第 3面(27a)を有する断熱材(27)と、
を含み、
前記通風抵抗増大領域 (C2)は、前記第 3面(27a)に形成されている、 請求項 1から 3の!/、ずれかに記載の空気調和装置(1)の室内ユニット(2)。
[6] 前記通風抵抗増大領域 (CI , C2)は、凹凸形状を有している、

前記第 2面(26b)に対向し、前記隙間(S1)の輪郭の少なくとも一部分を規定する 第 3面(27a)を有する断熱材(27)と、

前記通風抵抗増大領域(CI , C2)は、前記第 2面(26b)および前記第 3面(27a) に形成されており、前記第 2面(26b)と前記第 3面(27a)とを嵌合させるような凹凸形 状を有している、
