Abstract
The invention relates to a method for identifying a malfunction of an electric motor of an electric power system, in particular an electric power steering for a vehicle. The invention also relates to an electric power steering for vehicle implementing this method. The electric power steering co-operates with a malfunction identification circuit integrating a state representation model and with residue processing means for deducing the identification of a malfunction in the steering assistance electric motor.
