According to the invention the reductant is characterized in that it is composed of crumbled rubber tyres of vehicles together with their metal cord used in the amount up to 150 kg for one metric ton of pig-iron, and the crumbled rubber tyres of vehicles together with their metal cord are used instead of coke in the amount of 25-40% of the amount of the coke intended to be used, while the rubber tyres together with their metal cord are crumbled to pieces of dimensions not exceeding 50 cm.

Description

REDUCTANT FOR BLAST FURNACE CHARGE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a reductant for blast furnace charge.
BACKGROUND ART
A known blast furnace charge includes in its composition iron-bearing materials such as crumbled iron tube, sinter, and/or pellets, and slag- forming additives, and reductants being carbon, and hydrocarbons such as coke, coal, crude oil, natural gas and plastics, where coke in the blast furnace process serves not only as a reductant, but serves also as a necessary carrier for the charge. In general the known blast furnace charge contains following amounts of ingredients in recalculation to one metric ton of the pig-iron obtained: 720-1480 kg of sinter, 25-350 kg of iron ore, 100-770 kg of pellets, 280-410 kg of coke, 0-180 kg of coal, 0-60 kg of heavy oil, 0-10 kg of lime, 2-8 kg of materials from recycling and 0-30 kg of plastics. At the same time, when selecting adequate composition of the blast furnace charge, one takes into account, in addition to waste gas emissions defined in appropriate norms, also the quantity of the energy used for production of one metric ton of pig-iron, what is also connected with the quantity of the coke used and the quantity of the pig-iron obtained from the composition of the charge.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
The object of the present invention, and as well the technical problem that requires solving, is to develop a new ingredient of the reductant for blast furnace charge in order to enable significant decrease of coke consumption and at the same time increase of yield of the pig-iron obtained and significant improvement of the natural environment protection.
According the present invention, the reductant for blast furnace charge, as one of the ingredients of these reductants, is composed of crumbled rubber tyres of vehicles together with their metal cord used in the amount up to 150 kg for one metric ton of pig-iron.
Preferably crumbled rubber tyres of vehicles together with their metal cord are used instead of coke in the amount of 25-40% of the amount of the coke intended to be used. Preferably the crumbled pieces of rubber tyres together with their metal cord are of dimensions not exceeding 50 cm.
It was unexpectedly found out that use of crumbled tyres of car vehicles together with their metal cord as one of the ingredients in the composition of reductants enabled to decrease significantly consumption of expensive coke, and at the same time to obtain energy value per unit comparable to coke energy amounting to approx. 12 GJ per one metric ton of pig-iron, and also to increase significantly the yield of the pig-iron, as remelted metal cord of tyres becomes a part of the pig-iron. The additional advantage of using crumbled tyres as the ingredient of reductants for blast furnace charge is elimination of waste tyres from legal and illegal yards, and as a result significant improvement of natural environment of a man.
BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The subject of the invention is presented in the following examples of quality and quantity compositions of reductants for blast furnace charge containing rubber tyres, but these examples do not limit its scope. Example 1
