  • This blade unit forms part of panel saw machines which essentially comprise: a main frame comprising a first horizontal table; means for advancing the panels along a defined feed line and usually consisting of a crossbar mobile in parallel along said first horizontal table and equipped with clamps used for gripping the panel or panels to be sawn; a straight cutting unit or cutting front transversal to the feed line and comprising a beam that mounts one or two hold-down bars for pressing down on the panels, and a carriage, positioned near the beam and equipped with at least one mobile circular blade designed to cut the panels along a line transversal to the beam and usually passing between the hold-down bars; a second table, positioned in front of the cutting front, downstream of the cutting unit relative to the direction of panel feed on the first horizontal table, for supporting the panels and/or the respective panel lengths obtained by cutting.

On the mobile carriage 3 there is a power-driven shaft 7 to which at least one circular saw blade 6 is rotatably connected.
  • the circular blade 6 is mounted on a block 8 comprising a first and a second flange 9 and 10, facing each other, for holding the blade 6 which is positioned between the flanges 9 and 10 themselves.
  • the first flange 9 revolves as one with the power-driven shaft 7, while the second flange 10 is equipped with means 11 for locking and releasing the blade 6 from the shaft 7 and acting between the two flanges 9 and 10 in such a way as to move them away and towards each other in such a way as to disengage and engage them to allow the blade 6 to be changed.
  • the locking and releasing means 11 comprise: a first central pin 12 housed in the second flange 10 and affording a protruding end 12a that can be screwed into a first central hole 13 in the first flange 9; manual operating means 14, positioned on the second flange 10, acting between the second flange 10 and the first central pin 12 and designed to enable the second flange 10 and the first central pin 12 to move axially relative to each other in such a way as to define two stable end limit positions where: the second flange 10 is partly detached from the first flange 9 (see arrows F, Figure 4) in such way that the first pin 12 can be disengaged manually from the first flange 9 (see arrows Fl, Figure 5); and the second flange 10 is moved manually into a safety position in contact with the blade 6 (see arrows F2, Figure 4) after the first pin 12 has been manually coupled with the first flange 9 (see arrow F3, Figure 3).

  • an interposed key 16 housed partially in a matching widened part 17b of the central hole 17a in the annular contact element 17 enabling the first pin 12 and the second flange 10 to revolve as one with the power-driven shaft 7 and, when required, letting the third and second flanges 18 and 10 to slide axially relative to each other while keeping the first pin 12 in a stable position.
  • the above mentioned positioning means 25 comprise: an element or button 22 housed in a fourth radial hole 23 in the body 24 of the second flange 10 and open at the top where there is a respective fifth radial through hole 26 made in the third flange 18 allowing the end of the button 22 to protrude when the second flange 10 is moved into contact with the blade 6 and the second and third flanges 10 and 18 are locked to each other; second spring means 27 positioned between the button 22 and the bottom of the fourth hole 23 in the second flange 10, said second spring means 27 being designed to be compressed by external manual action (see arrow F27), enabling the protruding part of the button 22 to move into the third flange 18 so that the third flange 18 can be activated in such a way as to partly detach the second flange 10 from the first flange 9 as described above.
  • the blade 6 may turn in a first cutting direction V and the above mentioned protruding part 12a of the first pin 12 may be threaded so that it can be screwed into the first hole 13 in the opposite direction Vl to the direction of rotation V of the blade 6.
  • the second pin 19 of the third flange 18 may be threaded in such a way as to be screwed into the third hole 20 in a direction V2 (to achieve the detached configuration) that is the same as the direction Vl in which the protruding end 12a of the first pin 12 is screwed.
  • the blade 6 can be released manually in the following steps: pressing the button 22 (arrow F27) to disengage the third flange 18; manually screwing the third flange 18 in direction V2 to cause the first pin 12 and the second flange 10 to move axially relative to each other (arrow F) so that the latter is detached from the first flange 9 ( Figure 4); manually unscrewing the first pin 12 from the first hole 13 by gripping the body 24 of the second flange 10 ( Figure 5).
  • the blade 6 can be removed from the first flange 9 and replaced with a new blade 6.
  • a blade unit made as described above fully achieves the above mentioned aims thanks to blade lock/release components with an extremely simple structure.
  • the operating safety of the blade unit is not reduced, thanks also to the button which, besides providing the end position of the third flange, prevents unwanted movements between the second and third flanges.

Abstract

Ensemble lame pour machines à scier des panneaux, ledit ensemble lame comprenant : un chariot (3) qui se déplace dans une direction de coupe (T) ; une lame de scie circulaire (6) couplée à un arbre motorisé (7) monté sur le chariot (3) ; un socle de fixation (8) de lame (6) comprenant un premier flasque (9) et un deuxième flasque (10) en regard l'un de l'autre, le premier flasque (9) étant solidaire en rotation avec l'arbre motorisé (7) et le deuxième flasque (10) étant équipé de moyens (11) de blocage et de déblocage de la lame (6) vis-à-vis de l'arbre (7) et comprenant une première broche centrale (12) reçue dans le deuxième flasque (10) et présentant une extrémité saillante (12a) susceptible d'être vissée dans un premier trou central (13) ménagé dans le premier flasque (9), et de moyens d'actionnement manuel (14) montés sur le deuxième flasque (10) et agissant entre le deuxième flasque (10) et la première broche centrale (12) de manière à permettre au deuxième flasque (10) de se déplacer axialement par rapport à la première broche centrale (12) et définir ainsi deux positions extrêmes limites où le deuxième flasque (10) est partiellement détaché du premier flasque (9) en permettant ainsi le retrait manuel de la première broche (12) du premier flasque (9), et où le deuxième flasque (10) est placé manuellement au contact de la lame (6) une fois que la première broche (12) a été couplée manuellement au premier flasque (9).
