Abstract

The invention can be used for power and mechanical engineering, in the shipbuilding industry and in the other industries for saving energy resources, decreasing emission of harmful agents in atmosphere and for reducing production costs. The aim of said invention is to increase the power and torque with preserving the speed of rotation of a drive unit. The inventive mechanical power amplifier comprises a sun gear (1) which is provided with a power takeoff shaft and is engaged with satellite gears (2) freely rotatable on bearings (3) which are put on axes (4) fixed to a so called carrier (5), wherein said carrier is embodied in the form of a gear wheel which consists of two cups and interacts with a gear wheel (6) connected to a drive unit and the satellite gears (2) are constantly meshed with a crown gear (7) provided with inner teeth. In order to increase power and torque, the crown gear (7) is rotatable in the direction opposite to the rotation of the gear of the carrier (5) when it interacts with the gear wheel (6) and also with the aid of a so called idler gear in the case when the crown gear (7) is provided with the inner teeth. A brake device can be also used in the form of a decelerator.
