Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un émetteur (8 ; 10) pour une cathode de distribution thermo-ionique, qui comprend la formation d'un corps d'émetteur poreux ayant des pores sensiblement interconnectés, présentant une surface d'émission (11 ; 16) à partir de laquelle, lors de l'application de chaleur, des électrons sont émis. Ledit corps est adapté pour transporter, à travers lesdits pores, un composé libéré lors de l'application de la chaleur, vers la surface d'émission (11 ; 16). Ce composé, lorsqu'il est déposé sur la surface d'émission (11 ; 16), permet de réduire un travail d'extraction efficace de l'émetteur (8 ; 10). Ledit corps est formé au moyen d'un procédé de dépôt de matériau. Au moins une région dudit corps est dotée d'une porosité variable de façon continue qui est modifiée par le contrôle d'au moins un paramètre du procédé de dépôt.
