If the barcode 603 matches with a code in the pre-stored database within the system 6, the system 6 is opened for usage .

  • the system 6 is unlocked and can be used for one diagnostic session, meaning the use of the apparatus on one human subject.
  • the barcode 603 just verified is erased from the memory of the apparatus 600 and cannot be used again before entering a new valid barcode. Thus the barcode that just was used is now a non-valid barcode.
  • Each patient data sheet is provided with a unique bar code 603 in order to enable this functionality.
  • a key-feature of some embodiments of the present invention is that it does not rely on any telephone nor internet based technology, a feature which is important for many diagnostic procedures due to risks of vulnerability of malfunctioning and information leakage of such systems.

  • a billing procedure may be made highly effective and secure because customers freely decide how many key activation codes to buy and can form an economic organization efficient usage-payment balance.
  • a specific patient data sheet containing a unique barcode which - when read through the barcode reader and matched with pre-stored codes - opens the system for one session or time- limited usage must be entered. Codes are deleted after usage.
  • the manufacturer of a product or the inventor of a method could easily get revenues on a flexible per- diagnosis or per-time-unit basis by decreasing the investment cost and putting a bigger proportion of the costs on the per-use or per-time-unit of usage side.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système médical comprenant au moins un dispositif médical se composant d'un support de données où est stocké au moins un élément de données d'autorisation, et un ensemble de verrouillage permettant d'activer de manière sélective ledit système médical, sachant que ledit ensemble de verrouillage se compose d'une unité de lecture destiné à communiquer avec ledit support de données et de lire ledit ou lesdits éléments de données d'autorisation qui y sont enregistrés, sachant que le dit support de données est conçu pour fournir au moins un élément de données d'autorisation à ladite unité de lecture, et au moins un premier élément de mémoire, ladite mémoire ayant stocké dessus au moins un élément de données d'autorisation d'accès, une unité de correspondance arrangée pour comparer un élément de données d'autorisation lu sur ledit support de données à un élément de données d'autorisation d'accès à partir dudit premier élément de mémoire et arrangé pour garantir l'activation dudit système médical lorsqu'une correspondance positive est trouvée. Cela permet d'améliorer l'efficacité, de proposer des procédures de paiement mieux sécurisées en éliminant les composants qui dépendent d'un réseau, de la télémétrique ou de l'internet, et finalement, de faire bénéficier la collectivité médicale en ce qui concerne les patients grâce à une utilisation plus sûre des éléments jetables.
