Abstract

Bei einer Dampfmaschine mit wenigstens einem Zylinder (1) und einem hierin angeordneten Kolben (2), der einen expandierenden Dampf aufnehmenden Arbeitsraum (6) nach oben begrenzt, der über wenigstens eine Auslassöffnung (10) entlastbar ist, der ein Auslassventil (11) zugeordnet ist, wird dadurch eine gute Eignung für niedrige Drücke erreicht, dass der Kolben (2) wenigstens eine eine Auslassöffnung (10) bildende Durchlassöffnung aufweist und dass das dieser zugeordnete Auslassventil (11) als kolbenseitig geführtes, freifliegendes Ventil ausgebildet ist, das einen der Kolbenunterseite zugeordneten Ventilteller (12) und einen die Durchlassöffnung durchgreifenden Schaft (13) aufweist und bei Annäherung des Kolbens an den oberen Totpunkt durch Anlaufen des schaftseitigen Endes an einen oberen Anschlag (16) geöffnet und bei Annäherung des Kolbens (2) an den unteren Totpunkt durch Anlaufen des Ventiltellers (12) an einen unteren Anschlag (19) geschlossen wird.
