- R 1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group
- R 2 represents a monovalent organic group.
- the monovalent organic group represented by R 2 includes hydroxyl. Examples thereof include a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms which may be substituted with a group, a d_C 6 alkoxy d_C 6 alkyl group, and the like.
- the OH group of the stimulus-responsive alkenyl ether monomer having an OH group is protected with a protective group such as a trialkylsilyl group, a trialkylsilyloxy group, a acetoxy group, or a benzoxy group before polymerization.
- the protecting group is preferably a trimethylsilyl group, a triethylsilyl group, or a tert-butyldimethylsilyl group, and particularly preferably a tert-butyldimethylsilyl group.
- the obtained copolymer is dissolved in water or an organic solvent, and then micelles are formed by applying a stimulus such as temperature.
- the solvent temperature for micelle formation is preferably 0 to 100 ° C, particularly preferably 20 to 50 ° C.
- a hydrophobic substance can be encapsulated in the shell-crosslinked micelle of the present invention.
- Hydrophobic substances that can be encapsulated inside the micelles may be substances with high hydrophobicity, such as hydrophobic vitamins, hydrophobic dyes, hydrophobic drugs, hydrophobic inks, hydrophobic cosmetics, hydrophobic foods, fats and oils, Examples include hydrophobic dyes and hydrophobic fragrances.
- the shell-crosslinked micelle of the present invention changes from a micelle to a molecularly dispersed state (dissolved) by a stimulus such as temperature, as will be apparent from the examples described later. Therefore, by applying an external stimulus, the hydrophobicity enclosed inside the micelle It is possible to release sexual substances.
- the particle size of the shell-crosslinked micelles was analyzed by dynamic light scattering (DLS) (DLS 7000 manufactured by Otsuka Electronics Co., Ltd.).
