Abstract

The invention relates to a safety-belt extension for passengers seating in automobile seats (4), wherein said device comprises a first member (2) comprising a strap (3) with a semi-rigid core that can be resiliently deformed so as to adopt a curved-in shape in order to conform perfectly to the shape of said automobile seats (4), said strap (3) comprising: a connection provided at one end and comprising a plug connector (5) capable of attachment to the loop end (6) of a safety belt device; a connection provided at the other end and comprising a socket connector (7) in which the plug connector (8) of the safety belt engages. The device of the present invention is characterised in that it comprises a second member (9) forming a stop clamp attached to the strap (10) of the safety belt in order to prevent the full winding thereof into its housing (14) when not used.
