Abstract
A sunshade assembly for a vehicle comprises: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; a plurality of sunshade members coupled to the fixture; and a dashboard cover covering a topside of a dashboard at an angle, which is varied by the support extending from the guide rail, to thereby shade direct sunlight. The sunshade members, which shade the direct sunlight by moving up and down along the guide rail, and the dashboard cover, which shades the direct sunlight incident upon the dashboard and then reflected to the windshield as well as the direct sunlight incident upon the steering wheel and the front seats, are selectively installed, so that the temperature of the interior of the vehicle can be prevented from being increased by the direct sunlight. As a result, the comfortable interior environment can be maintained, and the field of front vision of the driver can be secured stably and clearly.

Description SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a sunshade assembly for a vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to a sunshade assembly for a vehicle, which shades direct sunlight, which is incident through a windshield of the vehicle to increase temperature of the interior of the vehicle or is reflected from a dashboard.

Background Art
[3] A sunshade assembly for a vehicle, which functions to shade direct sunlight incident through a windshield of the vehicle, is proposed in Korean Utility Model Registration No. 320972, which was filed by and issued to the identical applicant of this invention.
[4] The sunshade assembly for the vehicle is adapted to couple a plurality of sunshade members, each of which fixes a sunshade on opposite sides of the sunshade assembly, and to be fixedly mounted on the upper portion of a windshield. Thus, while the vehicle is traveling, the sunshade members are unfolded in a downward direction within a range in which the sunshade members do not interfere with the driving. While the vehicle is parked and stopped, the sunshade members are fully unfolded to shade direct sunlight incident upon the interior, thereby serving to prevent an indoor temperature from going up.
[5] In the case of the sunshade assembly for the vehicle, the sunlight- shading function is good, but the field of front vision of a driver is interrupted by the sunshade members located on top of the dashboard, thereby considerably interfering with the driving. In addition, when unfolded, each sunshade member is subjected to excessive bending or drooping due to its weight, and results in deformation or damage.

Technical Problem
[7] The present invention has been made to solve the above problem occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a sunshade assembly for a vehicle, capable of not only eliminating a factor interfering with the driving but also shading direct sunlight, which is incident upon the interior of the vehicle, to prevent temperature of the interior of the vehicle from going up using sunshade members or a dashboard cover.

Technical Solution
[9] In order to accomplish the above object, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a sunshade assembly for a vehicle, which comprises: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; and a plurality of sunshade members coupled to the fixture.
[10] According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a sunshade assembly for a vehicle, which comprises: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; and a dashboard cover covering a topside of a dashboard at an angle, which is varied by the support extending from the guide rail, to thereby shade direct sunlight.
[11] According to yet another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a sunshade assembly for a vehicle, which comprises: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; a plurality of sunshade members coupled to the fixture; and a dashboard cover covering a topside of a dashboard at an angle, which is varied by the support extending from the guide rail, to thereby shade direct sunlight.
[12] The guide rail comprises: inserting holes into which the support is selectively inserted; a seating hole in which a plurality of stoppers are formed at equal intervals; a mounting hole into which the fixture is inserted at a lower surface of the guide rail; and lower and upper guide holes, which are sequentially formed on top of the mounting hole, and into each of which a wing constituting each sunshade member is inserted.
[13] The fixture comprises: an upper fixture, which fixes an upper portion of the guide rail and to an upper surface of which the plurality of sunshade members are coupled; and a lower fixture, which fixes a lower end of the guide rail.
[14] The upper fixture comprises: a base plate, which fixes a hinge, on an upper surface of which fixing pieces are formed and inserted into two openings formed on opposite sides of a protrusion piece; and a fixing member, which comprises: an upper body including guide furrows in one surface thereof, guide ridges on the other surface thereof, and a wing at one lateral edge thereof which is inserted into the mounting hole formed in the guide rail; and a lower body including guide ridges on an upper surface thereof which are coupled with the upper body, and joint pieces on a lower surface thereof which are inserted into spaces between the protrusion piece of the base plate the fixing pieces and are fixed by a pin.
[15] The lower fixture comprises: a base plate, which is coupled with a hinge at a center thereof and has a double sided tape attached to a lower surface thereof, the hinge
including fixing pieces inserted into openings formed on opposite side of a protrusion piece having a through-hole; and a holder, which includes two joint pieces on a lower surface thereof and an inserting hole at an upper portion thereof into which the lower end of the guide rail is inserted, and is integrally coupled with the base plate by screws.
[16] Each sunshade member comprises: ridge-seating furrows and guide furrows, which are formed in an inner surface thereof at a uniform width; ridges and guide ridges, which are integrally formed on an outer surface thereof and are matched with the ridge- seating furrows and the guide furrows respectively; and permanent magnets, which are embedded in upper and lower portions of the middle thereof, and each sunshade member is coupled with a sunshade at one lateral edge thereof.
[17] The sunshade members, one of which is located outside and the other of which in the middle, further comprise wings inserted into the lower and upper guide holes formed in the guide rail.
[18] The dashboard cover comprises at least one cloth, which is sewn in a quadrilateral form and has a sunlight- shading function, a transverse bar at a lower portion thereof, a fixing axle coupled to the support at an upper portion thereof, and a fastener tape on an inner surface thereof.
[19] The number of the quadrilateral cloths is selected such that the quadrilateral cloths are folded and unfolded if necessary.

Advantageous Effects
[23] As described above, according to sunshade assembly for the vehicle of the present invention, the sunshade members, which shade the direct sunlight by moving up and down along the guide rail, and the dashboard cover, which shades the direct sunlight incident upon the dashboard and then reflected to the windshield as well as the direct sunlight incident upon the steering wheel and the front seats, are selectively installed, so that the temperature of the interior of the vehicle can be prevented from being increased by the direct sunlight. As a result, the comfortable interior environment can be maintained, and the field of front vision of the driver can be secured stably and clearly.

Mode for the Invention
[34] Hereinafter, a sunshade assembly for a vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[35] FIGS. 1 through 8 illustrate a sunshade assembly for a vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. In detail, FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a guide rail in the sunshade assembly for the vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating an upper fixture in the sunshade assembly for the vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. FIGS. 3 through 5 are perspective views illustrating a sunshade member in the sunshade assembly for the vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating a lower fixture in the sunshade assembly for the vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating a dashboard cover in the sunshade assembly for the vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
[36] The sunshade assembly for the vehicle according to an exemplary embodiment of
the present invention comprises a guide rail 10, an upper fixture 20, which fixes an upper portion of the guide rail 10 and is coupled with sunshade members 30 on an upper surface thereof, the sunshade members 30 that moves up and down along the guide rail 10, a lower fixture 40, which fixes a lower end of the guide rail 10, and a dashboard cover 50 that covers the topside of a dashboard 100.
[37] As illustrated in FIG. 1, the guide rail 10 functions to install a support 2 that fixes the dashboard cover 50 and simultaneously adjust an angle of the dashboard cover 50, to fix the sunshade members 30, and to guide upward and downward movement of the sunshade members 30.
[38] The guide rail 10 having these functions is provided with a seating hole 3 in an upper surface thereof in which a support 2 fixing the dashboard cover 50 is installed.
[39] The seating hole 3 is provided, on opposite sides thereof, with inserting holes 4, into which fastening pieces Ia formed at a first end of the support 2 are inserted, and stoppers 4a, which prevent the support 2 from leaning to one side.
[40] The support 2 coupled to the seating hole 3 is made of an elastic material, and comprises the fastening pieces Ia that extend from the first end thereof in opposite outward directions and are coupled to the inserting holes 4, and a head Id at a second end thereof to which a fixing axle holder Ic for fixing a fixing axle 45 supporting the dashboard cover 50 is coupled.
[41] The fixing axle holder Ic is made of plastic having ductility or magnetism, and is provided with a through-hole Ib into which one end of the fixing axle 45 is inserted.
[42] Meanwhile, the guide rail 10 is provided, in a lower surface thereof, with a mounting hole 6 into which a wing 18e extending from an upper body 18 of the upper fixture 20, which will be described below, and upper and lower guide holes 7 and 8 into which wing 26 or 28 extending from the sunshade member 30 are inserted on top of the mounting hole 6 respectively.
[43] Further, a first end of the guide rail 10 is fixed to a holder 38 of the lower fixture 40 by screws 9.
[44] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the upper fixture 20 fixing the guide rail 10 comprises a base plate 15 and a fixing member 19. The base plate 15 is made of soft plastic, has a double sided tape adhered to a lower surface thereof, and is provided with a semicircular protrusion piece 12, which has a through-hole 12a, in the middle of an upper surface thereof.
[45] The base plate 15 is provided with two openings 12b on opposite sides of the protrusion piece 12. The upper fixture 20 further comprises a hinge 14, which is made of a hard material and has two fixing pieces 13 protruding through the openings 12b of the base plate 15 when inserted.
[46] The fixing member 19, which is coupled to spaces between the protrusion piece 12
and the fixing pieces 13, comprises a lower body 17 mounted by a pin 17a that is inserted into the fixing pieces 13 of the hinge 14 and the protrusion piece 12 of the base plate 15, and the upper body 18, to an upper surface of which a plurality of sunshade members 30 are coupled.
[47] The lower body 17 is provided with two joint pieces 16a, which are inserted into the spaces between the protrusion piece 12 of the base plate 15 and the fixing pieces 13 of the hinge 14 when coupled, and is integrally formed with isosceles trapezoidal guide ridges 16b on opposite sides of an upper surface thereof so as to couple the upper body 18.
[48] The fixing pieces 13 of the hinge 14 are coupled with the joint pieces 16a of the lower body 17 using the pin 17a. Thereby, the fixing member 19 is freely rotated about the pin 17a, so that the upper fixture 20 can be mounted in correspondence to the angle of a curved windshield 70.
[49] Further, each guide ridge 16b includes an auxiliary guide ridge 16c on one side thereof which is formed by cutting off its lateral edges at a narrow width, so that the guide furrows 18a formed in the lower surface of the upper body 18 can be coupled in a rapid and easy manner.
[50] In addition, the upper body 18, which is integrally coupled to the upper surface of the lower body 17, is provided with two guide furrows 18a coupled to the guide ridges 16b of the lower body 17 in the lower surface thereof, and two guide ridges 18c on the upper surface thereof.
[51] Also, the wing 18e extending from one side of the upper body 18 is inserted into the mounting hole 6 of the guide rail 10, so that the upper fixture 20 is integrally coupled with the guide rail 10.
[52] Moreover, the lower and upper bodies 17 and 18 have permanent magnets 16 and
18d embedded therein respectively so as to be firmly coupled with each other.
[53] Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, the sunshade members 30, which are continuously coupled on top of the upper fixture 20, have the identical configuration. Each sunshade member 30 is provided with ridge-seating furrows 21a in an inner surface thereof, each of which has a uniform width. Each sunshade member 30 is provided with guide furrows 21 outside each ridge-seating furrow 21a, and is integrally formed with ridges 22a and guide ridges 22 on an outer surface thereof which are matched with the ridge-seating furrows 21a and the guide furrows 21.
[54] Further, each sunshade member 30 has permanent magnets 24 embedded in upper and lower portions of the middle thereof, thereby being easily coupled and separated.
[55] In addition, each sunshade member 30 is provided with a sunshade inserting groove
25 in one lateral edge thereof, into which a sunshade 23 functioning to shade direct sunlight is inserted and fixed by an ultrasonic process.
[56] The sunshade member 30 illustrated in FIG. 4 is located in the middle of the sunshade members 30, and is additionally provided with a wing 26 at the other lateral edge thereof, which is inserted into the lower guide hole 7 of the guide rail 10. Similarly, the sunshade member 30 illustrated in FIG. 5 is additionally provided with a wing 28, which is inserted into the upper guide hole 8 of the guide rail 10, and includes a handle 27 on an outer surface thereof so as to provide convenient use.
[57] Further, as illustrated in FIG. 6, the lower fixture 40 for fixing the lower end of the guide rail 10 comprises a base plate 31 and a holder 38. The base plate 31 is made of soft plastic, has a double sided tape adhered to a lower surface thereof, and is provided with a semi-circular protrusion piece 32 having a through-hole 32a in the middle of an upper surface thereof.
[58] The base plate 31 is provided with two openings 32b on opposite sides of the protrusion piece 32. The lower fixture 40 further comprises a hinge 34, which is made of a hard material and has two joint pieces 35 protruding through the openings 32b of the base plate 31 when inserted.
[59] The holder 38 is integrally coupled through spaces between the protrusion piece 32 and the joint pieces 35 of the hinge 34 using a pin 38a. The holder 38 is provided with two protrusion pieces 35 on a lower surface thereof, and is integrally formed with an inserting hole 39 in an upper surface thereof which fixes the lower end of the guide rail 10. Thus, the holder 38 is integrally coupled to the base plate 31 by screws 9.
[60] Further, as illustrated in FIG. 7, the dashboard cover 50, which serves to shade direct sunlight incident upon a dashboard 100, is made by sewing at least one cloth, which has a sunlight-shading function, in the shape similar to the isosceles trapezoid, and comprises a transverse bar 41, opposite ends of which are fixed to compressible pieces 48 fixed to the windshield 70, on a lower portion thereof. The number of isosceles trapezoidal cloths can be selected such that the isosceles trapezoidal cloths are folded and unfolded if necessary.
[61] Further, the dashboard cover 50 comprises a fixing axle 45 on an upper portion thereof, which is fixed by the support 2 that extends from the guide rail 10 at a predetermined angle through a change in position.
[62] In addition, the dashboard cover 50 has a fastener tape or at least one magnet sewn thereon or therein so as to be tightly maintained around the fixing axle 45.
[63] The compressible pieces 48 function to fix a lower end of the dashboard cover 50 to an inner surface of the windshield 70 using the transverse bar 41, and are provided with either an inserting inserting hole 48a for inserting the respective opposite ends of the transverse bar 41 or a magnet.
[64] Further, the dashboard cover 50 is additionally provided with an auxiliary cover 49 on the upper portion thereof, to corners of which permanent magnets 49a are fixed.
The auxiliary cover 49 is fixed to another support 2 extending from the guide rail 10, t hereby widening an area of shading the light.
[65] The dashboard cover 50 having this configuration is installed at an arbitrary angle by the support 2 coupled to the guide rail 10, thereby blocking the direct sunlight incident upon the dashboard 100.
[66] The operation of the sunshade assembly for a vehicle, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, configured as described above will be described below.
[67] In order to fixedly install the sunshade assembly for a vehicle according to the present invention on the windshield of the vehicle, after the sunshade members 30 are coupled to the upper fixture 20, the sunshade members 30 are fixed to the upper portion of the windshield 70 using the double sided tape formed on the lower surface of the base plate 15.
[68] Further, after the lower end of the guide rail 10, which is integrally coupled with the sunshade members 30, is coupled to the holder 38 constituting the lower fixture 40, the guide rail 10 is fixed to the windshield 70 using the double sided tape installed on the lower surface of the base plate 31 thereof.
[69] In this manner, the guide rail 10 and the sunshade members 30 are fixed to the windshield 70 in close contact with the windshield 70 by the upper and lower fixtures 20 and 40.
[70] Further, the dashboard cover 50 is coupled to the inserting inserting hole 48a or magnet of each compressible piece 48 fixed to the windshield 70 using the transverse bar 41 extending therefrom in opposite directions. Thereby, the installation of the sunshade assembly for a vehicle according to the present invention is completed.
[71] In this state, the sunshade members 30 and the dashboard cover 50 are selectively used.
[72] First, the operation of the sunshade members 30, which function to prevent the direct sunlight from being incident upon the dashboard 100, will be described. As illustrated in FIG. 9, the sunshade members 30 are unfolded downward using the handle 27 of the sunshade member 30 that is located outside.
[73] In this case, the sunshade members 30 are stably unfolded, since the wing 26 added to the other lateral edge of the sunshade member 30 located in the middle is inserted into the lower guide hole 7 formed in the inner surface of the guide rail 10, and since the wing 28 added to the sunshade member 30 located outside is inserted into the upper guide hole 8.
[74] In this manner, the sunshade members 30 are unfolded and folded when used, thereby blocking the direct sunlight from being incident upon the interior of the vehicle while the vehicle travels. Accordingly, the driver can be safely protected.
[75] Further, as illustrated in FIG. 10, the operation of the dashboard cover 50, which functions to shade the direct sunlight incident upon the dashboard 100, the steering wheel, and the front seats, will be described. The fastening pieces Ia formed at the first end of the support 2 are selectively inserted into the inserting holes 4, which are formed on the opposite sides of the seating hole 3, thereby the angle of the support 2 is adjusted. Then, the opposite ends of the fixing axle 45 are inserted into and fixed in the through-hole Ib or the magnet, which is formed in the fixing axle holder Ic fixed to the head Id. Subsequently, one side of the dashboard cover 50 is pulled and adhered by the fastener tape 43 or the magnet. Thereby, the installation of the dashboard cover 50 is completed.
[76] Further, the angle of the dashboard cover 50 can be variously varied by inserting the support 2 into the inserting holes 4, the positions of which are different from each other. The dashboard cover 50 can be bent at the upper portion thereof using two supports 2 having different lengths.
[77] In addition, when the vehicle is parked or stopped, the sunshade members 30 and the dashboard cover 50 are unfolded. Thereby, the direct sunlight incident upon the interior of the vehicle is perfectly blocked, so that the temperature of the interior of the vehicle can be prevented from going up.
[78] A sunshade assembly for a vehicle according to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention comprises a guide rail 10, fixtures 20 and 40 fixing the guide rail 10, and a dashboard cover 50 covering the topside of a dashboard 100.
[79] In this exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the configurations of the guide rail 10, fixtures 20 and 40, and dashboard cover 50 are as described above, and thus will be no longer described.
[80] Although the exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been described, it isunderstood that the present invention should not be limited to these exemplary embodiments but various changes and modifications can be made by one ordinary skilled in the art within the spirit and scope of the present invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims
[1] A sunshade assembly for a vehicle comprising: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; and a plurality of sunshade members coupled to the fixture.
[2] A sunshade assembly for a vehicle comprising: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; and a dashboard cover covering a topside of a dashboard at an angle, which is varied by the support extending from the guide rail, to thereby shade direct sunlight.
[3] A sunshade assembly for a vehicle comprising: a guide rail including a support installed on one surface thereof and a plurality of holes formed in one surface thereof; a fixture fixing the guide rail; a plurality of sunshade members coupled to the fixture; and a dashboard cover covering a topside of a dashboard at an angle, which is varied by the support extending from the guide rail, to thereby shade direct sunlight.
[4] The sunshade assembly as claimed in any one of claims 1, 2 and 3, wherein the guide rail comprises: inserting holes into which the support is selectively inserted; a seating hole in which a plurality of stoppers are formed at equal intervals; a mounting hole into which the fixture is inserted at a lower surface of the guide rail; and lower and upper guide holes, which are sequentially formed on top of the mounting hole, and into each of which a wing constituting each sunshade member is inserted.
[5] The sunshade assembly as claimed in any one of claims 1, 2 and 3, wherein the fixture comprises: an upper fixture, which fixes an upper portion of the guide rail and to an upper surface of which the plurality of sunshade members are coupled; and a lower fixture, which fixes a lower end of the guide rail.
[6] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 5, wherein the upper fixture comprises: a base plate, which fixes a hinge, on an upper surface of which fixing pieces are formed and inserted into two openings formed on opposite sides of a protrusion
piece; and a fixing member, which comprises: an upper body including guide furrows in one surface thereof, guide ridges on the other surface thereof, and a wing at one lateral edge thereof which is inserted into the mounting hole formed in the guide rail; and a lower body including guide ridges on an upper surface thereof which are coupled with the upper body, and joint pieces on a lower surface thereof which are inserted into spaces between the protrusion piece of the base plate the fixing pieces and are fixed by a pin.
[7] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 5, wherein the lower fixture comprises: a base plate, which is coupled with a hinge at a center thereof and has a double sided tape attached to a lower surface thereof, the hinge including fixing pieces inserted into openings formed on opposite side of a protrusion piece having a through-hole; and a holder, which includes two joint pieces on a lower surface thereof and an inserting hole at an upper portion thereof into which the lower end of the guide rail is inserted, and is integrally coupled with the base plate by screws.
[8] The sunshade assembly as claimed in any one of claims 1, 2 and 3, wherein each sunshade member comprises: ridge-seating furrows and guide furrows, which are formed in an inner surface thereof at a uniform width; ridges and guide ridges, which are integrally formed on an outer surface thereof and are matched with the ridge- seating furrows and the guide furrows respectively; and permanent magnets, which are embedded in upper and lower portions of the middle thereof, and each sunshade member is coupled with a sunshade at one lateral edge thereof.
[9] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 8, wherein the sunshade members, one of which is located outside and the other of which in a middle, further comprise wings inserted into the lower and upper guide holes formed in the guide rail.
[10] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 2 or 3, wherein the dashboard cover comprises at least one cloth, which is sewn in a quadrilateral form and has a sunlight- shading function, a transverse bar at a lower portion thereof, a fixing axle coupled to the support at an upper portion thereof, and a fastener tape on an inner surface thereof.
[11] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 10, wherein a number of the quadrilateral cloths is selected such that the quadrilateral cloths are folded and unfolded if necessary.
[12] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 10, wherein the transverse bar is
fixed in or to an inserting hole or a magnet, which is provided to each compressible piece adhered to a windshield.
[13] The sunshade assembly as claimed in claim 10, wherein the dashboard cover further comprises an auxiliary cover at the upper portion thereof, corners of which have permanent magnets.
