Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de commande lors d'un arrêt temporaire d'un moteur thermique à quatre temps comportant un bloc délimitant des cylindres définissant des chambres de combustion (5) qui sont équipées de pistons (7) et dans lesquelles débouchent un conduit d'admission (11) et un conduit d'échappement (12) pourvus de soupapes (13, 14) mobiles entre des positions d'ouverture et des positions de fermeture, le procédé comportant les étapes de détecter des conditions d'un arrêt temporaire du moteur et de commander un maintien des soupapes d'échappement en position fermée après un passage par une phase d'admission lors d'un dernier cycle du moteur avant l'arrêt.
