System for preventing overflows includes river or stream (l),(10),(18),(51) that should be diverted from its flow in accumulation (5),(14),(27),(54) using dam (2),(11),(19),(64) that includes water gate (3),(12),(35),(110),(67),(68),(73) and that water gate glides along guides (4),(13),(36),(37), (38),(69),(70),(72),(l 18),(119).Lowering and lifting of water gates is done by electro-motor (101), coupling (99),speed reducer (98),toothed wheel (100) and rack (102).If river is navigable it is used dam (19) which by rotating around axis (75) to support (24), enables shipping or dam (64) which by opening movable parts (65) and (66) enables shipping.Dam (19) by rotating to supports (25), (26),(126) directs water in different areas.Accumulation includes dam (8),(15),(28),(53) with water gates (120),(121),(122),(123) taht regulate return of water using channel (9),(16),(31),(52) in river or stream.

Description

SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING OVERFLOWS
I)AREA OF TECHNIC THAT THIS INVENTION BELONGS TO
This invention belongs to dams on rivers and streams,equiped with water gates for regulating water flow and to accumulations.
2)TECHNICAL PROBLEM
Raising of level of rivers and streams,especially in spring and autumn,after snow thawing and during longlasting rainfalls,causes flooding of settlements,crops, transport lines etc.Overflows causes great demages and sometimes loses of lives.
3)STATE OF TECHNIC
Solution of this problem,until now, was mostly tried to be solved by making levees on rivers and streams banks.On that way was tried to prevent water uotflow.Often, that is not successful and water goes over levees or destroy it, causing bigger or smaller demages.
4)DESCRIPTION OF ESSENCE OF THE INVENTION
Primary aim of the invention is preventing overflows, that becomes by uotfiowing of water from rivers and streams.Preventing of river overflow is achived by diverting river or stream from their watercourse in earlier planned area.
Secondary aim of the invention is using diverted water from river or stream for producing electricity,irrigation,tourism,fish growing,accumulation of drinking water or water for industry. System for Preventing Overflows,according to this invention,contains river or stream, that should be diverted,partly or completely,from their watercourse,using in that purpose dam equiped with water gates 3,12,35,67,68 that glide along guides 4,13,36,37,38,69,70,118,119,moved by electromotor 101 and coupling 99 and speed reducer 98. Water gates regulate water level in river or stream 1 and,if needed,diverts it in accumulation S which is located between hills or mountains 6 and 7 or in a digged hole in ground in which is located accumualtion 14,that on its end has dam 8,15,28,53 equiped with water gate 120,121,122,123 or turbine for producing electrcity,if needed,as well as canals for watering 33 if riveer or stream diverts in canals. Water gates 68 slide through guides 69,and water gates 67 and 73 through guides 70,72,118,119 and guide 72 is fixed to water gate 73 by welding or by other proper way. Parts 65 and 66 are fastened to axis 103 on which are pillow-block bearings 71 set,which are by screws 104 fixed to U profiles 105 and 106, which are fixed by screws 108,that are passing through spacer 107.

Guides 118 and 119 are in shape of dovetail and through them are passing supports 111 on which is fixed frame 113 with screws 112.

Dam 19 is fixed to roof 76 of cabin 22,by welding or by some other proper way.Roof 76 contains shields 77 against entering dust and moisture.To roof 76 is fixed, by screws or on some other proper way .cover plate 74, on which is welded axis 75,which abuts on barrel-shaped roler bearing 84 and on wheels 8O.Barrel-shaped roler bearing 84 is located in housing 81, which has sealing 95,and it is fixed by screws 83 to support 85,which is a part of support 86.To roof 76 is fixed by screws 125,inside toothed wheel 76, which is meshed with toothed wheel 87 driven by electromotor 90 over coupling 89 and speed reducer 88.Electro-motor 90 is located on stand 91, which is fixed by screws 92 to support 86.Speed reducer 88 is fixed by screws 94 to stand 93,which is welded ,or on some other proper way fixed, to housing 79.

If it is necessary,for diverting river or stream walls 17,34 can be used.
System for preventing overflows works as follows:On river or stream is built dam 2,11,19,64 that should divert river or stream in a prior prepared area.On that way extra water from river or stream cannot pass to area for which we do not want to be flooded. That extra water makes accumulation 5,14,27,54.Above mentioned accumulation can be used for producing electricity, watering,tourism, fish growing,drinking water or technological water.
Accumulation could be filled with water when does not exist danger of overflow,in purposes mentioned in the last sentence.
Water gates 3,12,35,37,67,68 are used for diverting water and regulating water level in river or stream and regulating quantity of water that will be diverted in accumulation. Water gates glides along guides 4,13,36,37,38,118,119,moved by electro-motor 101, coupling 99, speed reducer 98 and toothed wheel 100 which is in mesh with rack 102 that is, by welding or on some other proper way, fixed for water gate.
At the end of accumulation there is dam 15,8,28,53, which purpose is making accumulation, that is preventing that extra water from river or stream, through channel 9, 16,31 ,52 returns in river or stream,causing flooding.If the area, located downriver from the area that we want to protect from flooding, is not important to be protected from overflow,than dam 8,15,28,53 is not necessary, as well as accumulation 5,14,27,54, and on that way costs of "System for Preventing Overflows" can be decreased, except if we want to achieve secondary aim of this invention. Water gates 120, 121 , 122, 123 are used for regulation water level in accumulation, as well as for regulation quantity of water that returns into river or stream flow, and they are moved on the same way as water gates 3,12,35,110,67,68.
If river is navigable, then dam 64 is used,which has movable parts 65 and 66 that rotates around axis 103, which stands on slide bearings 71, that are fixed on U profiles by screws 104. U profiles 105 and 106 are fixed by screws 108, and passes through spacer 107. For navigable rivers can be also used dam 19 which with its turning to support 24 enables shipping.Dam 19 rotate around axis 75 that abuts on axial barrel-shaped roller bearing 84 and on wheels 80 and it is moved by electro-motor 90 connected to coupling 89,speed reducer 88 and a pair of toothed wheels 87 and 78 that has internal teeth.Sealing 95,set in housing 81, stops entering dust into bearing and leaking grease from it.

O)DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE WAY OF USE OF THE INVENTION
Refering to figures 1,2,3 and 4,it is clear that "System for Preventing Overflows" includes river or stream that should be diverted from its flow, in aim of preventing flooding area downriver of dam
2,11,19,64 that is equiped with water gate 3,12,35,110,67,68. Water gate glide along guides 4,13,
36,37,38,69,70,118,119.Guides 118 and 119 are only on water gates 67 and 73,that are fixed to movable part of dam 64, which by opening movable parts enables shipping. Water gates moving, that is lifting and lowering is done by electro-motor 101, coupling 99,speed reducer 98 and toothed wheel 100 which is in mesh with rack 102. Rack is by welding fixed to water gate.For protection from weather ifluence and possible mechanical demages,the whole mechanism is located in housing 97,whose part of roof 96 is fixed for water gate by screws 127 and it lifts and lowers together with water gate.Part of roof 96 in its lower position touches roof of housing 97.Above mentioned is shown in figures 8 and 9.
Refering to figure 3, it is clear that dam 19 is made of steel structure and it has guides 36 welded to steel structure.Guides 37 are welded to water gates 35, that glide along guides 38 and along water gate 1 lO.Guides 38 are part of immovable part of dam 19.
Balance weight 20 is fixed by belts 21 to steel structure of dam.
Axis 75 is welded to cover 74 which is by screws 124 fixed on roof 76 of housing 22,on which is welded movable part of dam 19. Axis 75 abuts on axial barrel-shaped roller bearing 84 and on wheels 8O.Axial barrel-shaped roller bearing is located in housing 81, in which is built-in sealing
95,and it is fixed by screws 83 to support 85,which is part of support 86.To roof 76 is fixed by screws 125, toothed wheel with internal teeth 78,which is in mesh with tothed wheel 87,driven by electro-motor 90,coupling 89 speed reducer 88.Electrc-motor 90 is fixed to stand 91,which is by screws 92 fixed to support 86.Speed reducer 88 is by screws 94 fixed to stand 93, taht is welded to housing 79.
With its other end dam 19 abuts on supports 24,25,26 and 126,in which is built-in hydraulic cylinder 42 with piston rod 40,which passes through hole in plate 127.Piston rod of hydraulic cylinder is drived by electro-motor 47,belt pulley 45, pump 46 and then oil goes by tubes to cylinder using valve 44.OiI is located in tank 43.
Refering to figure 4 it is clear that dam 64 has two movable parts 65 and 66,which open for shipping using electro-motor 63,coupling 62 and speed reducer 60,whose output shaft is connected to cable drum 61, on which cable 57 winds,taht goes over disc 56, which is with its other end fixed to fasteners 58, that are on movable parts 65 and 66.Electro-motor 63,coupling 62,speed reducer
60 and cable drum 61 are located in housing 55.Discs 56 abut on frames 59,that are fixed to dam

Water gates 68 glides along guides 69,and water gates 67 and 73 along guides 70,72,118, and 119.
Guide 72 is fixed to water gate 73 by welding.
Refering to figures 10 and 11 it is clear that movable parts 65 and 66 are fixed to axis 103 that abuts on slide bearings 71, that are fixed on U profiles 105 and 106 by screws 104.U profiles 105 and 106 are fixed by screws 108, and passes through spacer 107.U profiles abut on pillar 109.
Refering to figure 12 it is clear that guides 118 and 119 are in shape of dovetail,and through them are passing supports 111.
Refering to figures 13 and 14 it is clear that to supports 111 is fixed frame 113 by screws 112.
Frame 113 is welded to plate 115 by link 117,and plate 115 is by screws 114 fixed to plate 116 which is part of movable parts 65 and 66.
Refering to figure 1 it is clear that accumulation 5 is done on natural way,between two hills or mountains 6 and 7,and that on its end have dam with water gate 12O.Using channel 9 water goes back to river or stream.
Refering to figure 2 it is clear that accumulation 14 is made by digging hole in ground and around accumulation is built wall 128.Using channel 16 water goes back to river or stream.
Refering to figure 3 it is clear that accumulation 27 is made by building a wall around it, without digging a hole in groundUsing channel 31 water goes back to river or stream.
Refering to figure 4 it is clear that accumulation 54 is made by digging hole in ground in which water accumulates.Using channel 52 water goes back to river or stream.
7) WAY OF USING THE INVENTION

Claims

PATENT CLAIMS
1. System for preventing overflows that contains river or stream that should be diverted from its flow,determined by,that on river or stream has dam in purpose of diverting river or stream from its flow;that there is one or more water gates on dam in purpose of regulating level of water in river or stream,downriver from dam and in purpose of regulating quantity of water that will be diverted from river or stream;that it has possibility of shipping for navigable rivers;that it has possibility of diverting river or stream in two or more different directions in purpose of distribution water from river or stream to different areas and in purpose of unloading only one area, when river or stream are very up;that it has accumulation in which diverted water from river or stream accumulates,in purpose of preventing flooding of area located around and downriver from area where diverted flow of river or stream returns in its flow;that on the end of accumulation has dam in purpose of preventing large quantity of water, of diverted river or stream, in short time return in above mentioned stream or river;that on mentioned dam built at the end of accumulation has mean for regulating water flow that return in river or stream.
2.System for preventing overflows according to claim 1, determined by,that on mentioned dam (2), (11),(19),(64) there is mentioned water gate (3),(12),(35),(110),(67),(68),(73).
3. System for preventing overflows according to claim lor 2,determined by,that mentioned water gate includes guides (4),(13),(36),(37),(38),(69),(70),(72),(l 18),(119) along which glides mentioned water gates.
4.System for preventing overflows according to claim 3,deteπnined by,that mentioned water gates include electro-motor (101),coupling (99),speed reducer (98),toothed wheel (100) and rack (102) in purpose of lifting and lowering mentioned water gates.
5.System for preventing overflows according to claim l,determined by,that for navigable rivers has lattice work that by rotating enables shipping. ό.System for preventing overflows according to claim 5,determined by,that mentioned lattice work includes electro-motor (90),coupling (89),speed reducer (88) and a pair of toothed wheels (87) and (78) in purpose of rotating mentioned lattice work.
7.System for preventing overflows according to claim 5,determined by,that mentioned lattice work includes axis (75),axial barrel-shaped roller bearing (84),wheels (80) in purpose of rotating mentioned lattice work around mentioned axis.
8.System for preventing overflows according to claim 7,determined by,that mentioned barrel- shaped roller bearing has housing (81) with sealing (95).
9.System for preventing overflows according to claim 1, determined by,that includes lattice work which by rotating in different directions enables diverting river or stream in different areas. lO.System for preventing overflows according to claim 9,determined by,that dam includes more supports (24),(25),(26),(126) on which mentioned lattice work abuts in purpose of directing river or stream in different areas.
11.System for preventing overflows according to claim 10,determined by,that mentioned supports include hydraulic cylinders (42) in purpose of fixing and abuting dam in certain position.
12.System for preventing overflows according to claim 11, determined by,that mentioned hydraulic cylinders include electro-motor(47),belt pulley (45),pump (46), valve (44) and tank (43) with pipeline.
13. System for preventing overflows according to claim 1,5 or 9,determined by,that mentioned lattice work is fixed to roof of housing (22).
14.System for preventing overflows according to claim 1,5 or 9,deteπnined by,that mentioned lattice work includes balance weight (20).
15.System for preventing overflows according to claim l,determined by,that for navigable rivers has dam (64) and that mentioned dam has movable parts (65) and (66),which by opening enable shipping. lό.System for preventing overflows according to claim 15,determined by, that mentioned movable parts include supports (58) and that is fixed cable (57) to mentioned supports.
17.System for preventing overflows according to claim 16,determined by, that mentioned cable winds on cable drum (61) and that mentioned cable drum is driven by electro-motor (63), coupling (62) and speed reducer (60).
18. System for preventing overflows according to claim 17,determined by, that mentioned cable includes discs (56) and that mentioned discs abut on frame (59).
19.System for preventing overflows according to claim 17,determined by, that mentioned electro- motor,coupling and speed reducer are located in housing (55).
2O.System for preventing overflows according to claim 15,determined by, that mentioned movable parts rotate around axis (103) and that axis abuts on slide bearings (71) and that slide bearings are fixed by screws (104) on U profiles (105) and (106).
21. System for preventing overflows according to claim 3,deteπnined by, that water gates (67) and (73) include mentioned guides (118) and (119) and that mentioned guides are in shape of dovetail.
22.System for preventing overflows according to claim 21, determined by, that mentioned guides include supports (111) and that on supports is fixed frame (113) by screws (112).
23. System for preventing overflows according to claim 22,determined by, that mentioned frame includes link (117) and that link is fixed on plate (115).
24.System for preventing overflows according to claim 15,determined by, that mentioned movable parts include plate (116) and that is fixed to mentioned plate by screws (114) mentioned plate (115).
25.System for preventing overflows according to claim l,determined by, that mentioned accumulation (5) is made on natural way,between two hills or mountains (6) and (7).
26.System for preventing overflows according to claim 25,determined by, that mentioned accumulation includes dam (8) on which is added mean for regulation of water flow.
27.System for preventing overflows according to claim 26,determined by, that mentioned mean for regulation of water flow includes water gate (120).
28.System for preventing overflows according to claim 1, determined by, that mentioned accumulation (14) is made by digging hole in ground and then build a wall around it (128).
29.System for preventing overflows according to claim 28,determined by, that mentioned accumulation includes dam (15) on which is added mean for regulation of water flow.
30.System for preventing overflows according to claim 29,determined by, that mentioned mean for regulation of water flow includes water gate (121).
31. System for preventing overflows according to claim 1, determined by, that mentioned accumulation (27) is made by building a wall around it.
32.System for preventing overflows according to claim 3 l,determined by, that mentioned accumulation includes dam (28) on which is added mean for regulation of water flow.
33.System for preventing overflows according to claim 32,determined by, that mentioned mean for regulation of water flow includes water gate (122).
34.System for preventing overflows according to claim 1, determined by, that mentioned accumulation (54) is made by digging hole in ground.
