More particularly, the present invention relates to an advertisement service method which displays another advertisement, instead of an advertisement which is previously displayed for or recognized by a user, and a system thereof.
Background Art
Generally, an advertisement service method using the Internet displays an advertisement content, which an advertiser desires to advertise, on a designated advertisement region of a web page of a website, when an Internet user accesses the website. However, in the conventional advertisement service method using the Internet, every time the user accesses the website, the same advertisement content is displayed and thus the user may lose interest in the advertisement content.
Accordingly, a current advertisement has various types of advertisement contents with respect to the same product, instead of only one advertisement content. Specifically, the current advertisement has various types of storytelling structures or theme structures and thus may induce users to have an increased interest in an advertisement product.
However, in the conventional advertisement service method using the Internet, when using a product advertisement having the various types of storytelling structures or the various types of theme structures, and displaying only the same advertisement, advertising effect may be reduced.
Accordingly, there is a need for a method which can effectively display a storytelling advertisement or a theme advertisement since only the same advertisement with respect to an advertisement item is displayed for a user.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Reference will now be made in detail to embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to the like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below in order to explain the present invention by referring to the figures. FIG. 1 illustrates a relation between an advertisement service system 100 and user terminals HOa and 110b according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, the advertisement service system 100 manages an advertisement code and a server template. The advertisement code is an identifier capable of identifying an advertisement product from the server template. When each of the user terminals HOa and 110b accesses a website of the advertisement service system 100 via the Internet 105, the advertisement service system 100 provides an advertisement item to each of the user terminals HOa and HOb so that an advertisement of an advertiser may be displayed on an advertisement region of a web page of the website provided on each of the user terminals 110a and 110b. The advertisement element will be described later in detail with reference to FIG. 2. Each of the user terminals 110a and 110b displays the advertisement item, provided from the advertisement service system 100, on the advertisement region. In this instance, each of the user terminals 110a and 110b transmits interactive data to the advertisement service system 100. The interactive data includes mouse-over or click information about an advertisement displayed on the advertisement region. Also, the interactive data indicates reference data which is used to determine whether the advertiser is displayed for or recognized by the user when the user mouses over or clicks the advertisement. The advertisement service system 100 receives the interactive data from each of the user terminals 110a and 110b, and stores the received interactive data in a database to correspond to user information. When each of the user terminals 110a and 110b accesses the web page via the Internet 105, the advertisement service system 100 provides advertisement data by referring to the user information and the interactive data stored in the database so that another advertisement, excluding the advertisement recognized by the user, may be displayed on the advertisement region of the web page. When a plurality of theme advertisements or series advertisements is displayed on the advertisement region, each of the user terminals HOa and 110b receives the user's selection on the plurality of theme advertisements or series advertisements, and transmits the advertisement selection information to the advertisement service system 100. In this instance, the advertisement service system 100 receives the advertisement selection information from each of the user terminals 110a and 110b, and provides an advertisement service so that the selected theme advertisement or the series advertisement may be displayed for the user on each of the user terminals 110a and 110b based on the received advertisement selection information.
In this instance, each of the user terminals 110a and 110b may determine whether the advertisement is already displayed for or recognized by the user based on the user's mouse-over or click on the displayed advertisement.
When the advertisement is recognized by the user, each of the user terminals HOa and HOb displays another advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement for the user, based on the advertisement item provided from the advertisement service system 100.
As an example of displaying the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement, when the advertisement item is a series advertisement and a portion of the entire series advertisement is recognized by the user, each of the user terminals 110a and 110b displays another portion of the series advertisement, excluding the recognized portion, for the user. Also, when the recognized advertisement is a portion of the entire series advertisement, each of the user terminals 110a and HOb may sequentially display a subsequent portion of the series advertisement with respect to the recognized portion, from among the entire series advertisement, for the user. For example, when the displayed advertisement is the series advertisement in a storytelling structure having story advertisements one through three, and the first story advertisement of the series advertisement is recognized by the user, each of the user terminals 110a and HOb may display the second story advertisement of the series advertisement. When the second story advertisement is recognized by the user, each of the user terminals 110a and 110b may display the third story advertisement for the user. As described above, the advertisement service system 100 according to the present invention may sequentially display a plurality of story advertisements in an order of story sequences.
As another example of displaying the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement, when a plurality of theme advertisements is provided, each of the user terminals 110a and HOb may display another theme advertisement, excluding a theme advertisement recognized by the user, for the user. For examples, when the advertisement includes first through seventh theme advertisements, and the third theme advertisement is recognized by the user, each of the user terminals 110a and 110b may display any one of the second through seventh theme advertisements for the user.
As still another example of displaying the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement, when the plurality of the theme advertisements is provided, each of the user terminals 110a and 110b may display a selected theme advertisement for the user. For example, when the advertisement includes the first through seventh theme advertisements, and in this instance, the seventh theme advertisement is selected by the user, each of the user terminals HOa and HOb may display the selected seventh theme advertisement for the user.
FIG. 2 illustrates an advertisement item 200, a server template 201, and a client template 202 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 2, the client template 202 is provided in the advertisement item 200. Also, the advertisement item 200 is provided in an advertisement region of a user terminal by an advertisement service system 100. The advertisement item 200 detects interactive data via the client template 202, and determines whether the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user, using the interactive data detected by the advertisement item. In this instance, the interactive data includes mouse-over or click information about the displayed advertisement. Also, the advertisement item 200 transmits the detected interactive data to the advertisement service system 100. In this instance, the interactive data includes an advertisement code about the displayed advertisement. The advertisement service system 100 receives the interactive data from the advertisement item 200 via the server template 201, and determines whether the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user by using the received interactive data.
As described above, the advertisement service system 100 may identify the advertisement code from the interactive data, which is transmitted from the advertisement item 200, collect only logs corresponding to the advertisement code, and share the collected logs. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a generation of unnecessary data and excessive traffic of data communication.
FIG. 3 is a flowchart illustrating an advertisement service method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 3, in operation S310, an advertisement service system displays an advertisement for a user. When a user terminal accesses a web page of a website provided from the advertisement system via the Internet, the advertisement service system displays the advertisement on an advertisement region of the web page of the accessed website. In operation S320, the advertisement service system determines whether the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user. Specifically, in operation S320, the advertisement item or the advertisement service system determines whether the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user. The advertisement item detects interactive data via a client template, and transmits the detected interactive data to the advertisement service system. In this instance, the interactive data includes mouseover or click information about the displayed advertisement. The advertisement service system receives the interactive data via a server template, analyzes the received interactive data, and determines whether the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user. Specifically, when the received interactive data is mouse-over information about the displayed advertisement, the advertisement service system may determine the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user. Also, when the received interactive data is click information about the displayed advertisement, the advertisement service system may determine the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user.
In operation S330, when the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user, the advertisement service system displays another advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement for the user. Specifically, when the displayed advertisement is recognized by the user, the advertisement service system displays the other advertisement, associated with the displayed advertisement, on the advertisement region. In this instance, the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement may be an advertisement of which an advertiser is identical to the advertiser of the displayed advertisement, however, has a different advertisement content from the displayed advertisement.
As an example of displaying the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement for the user, when the displayed advertisement is a series advertisement, and is also a portion of the entire series advertisement, the advertisement service system displays another portion of the series advertisement, not recognized by the user, from among the entire series advertisement for the user in operation S330.
As another example of displaying the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement for the user, the advertisement service system receives the user's selection on the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement, and displays the selected advertisement for the user in operation S330. Specifically, the advertisement service system receives the user's selection on the other advertisement, associated with the displayed advertisement, from the user, and displays the selected advertisement on the advertisement region. As an example of displaying the selected advertisement for the user, when the selected advertisement is a plurality of theme advertisements, the advertisement service system displays a theme advertisement, selected by the user from the plurality of theme advertisements, for the user in operation S330. Specifically, when the displayed theme advertisement is recognized by the user, the advertisement service system may receive the user's selection on another theme advertisement, excluding the displayed theme advertisement, and display the selected theme advertisement on the advertisement region.
As another example of displaying the selected advertisement for the user, when the selected advertisement is a plurality of series advertisements, the advertisement service system displays a series advertisement, selected by the user from the plurality of series advertisements, for the user in operation S330. Specifically, the advertisement service system may receive, from the user, the user's section on the series advertisement from among the plurality of series advertisements, and display the selected series advertisement on the display region.
As still another example of displaying the other advertisement associated with the displayed advertisement for the user, the advertisement service system sequentially displays remaining series advertisements, excluding the displayed series advertisement, for the user in operation S330. Specifically, when the displayed advertisement is first through fifth series advertisements and only the first series advertisement is displayed for the user, the advertisement service system may sequentially display the second through fifth series advertisements, excluding the displayed first series advertisement, on the advertisement region.
FIG. 4 illustrates an example of an advertisement service based on a theme advertisement according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 4, an advertisement service system displays a first theme advertisement 410 on an advertisement region of a web page of a website, which is provided from the advertisement service system when a user terminal accesses the website via the Internet. Specifically, the advertisement service system displays the first theme advertisement 410. When it is determined the first theme advertisement 410 is recognized by a user based on the user's mouse-over or click on the first theme advertisement 410, the advertisement service system displays a second theme advertisement 420 on the advertisement region instead of the first theme advertisement 410. Also, when the user selects a subsequent theme advertisement menu with respect to the first theme advertisement 410, the advertisement service system displays the second theme advertisement 420, which is the subsequent theme advertisement of the first theme advertisement 410, on the advertisement region.
