Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein refraktives Durchsichtssicherheitselement (60) für Sicherheitspapiere, Wertdokumente und dergleichen mit einer transparenten oder zumindest transluzenten Merkmalsschicht (22), die eine Mehrzahl von Elementarzellen (62) in einer vorbestimmten geometrischen Anordnung aufweist, wobei die Elementarzellen jeweils eine vorbestimmte Anzahl im Wesentlichen achromatisch refraktiver Mikrostrukturelemente (64) enthal ten, die so ausgerichtet sind, dass sie einfallendes Licht jeweils in einen vor bestimmten Raumbereich brechen, so dass sich das von den einzelnen Mik- rostrukturelementen (64) einer Elementarzelle (62) gebrochene Licht zu einer vorbestimmten Bildinformation kombiniert, und wobei die Elementarzellen (62) eine laterale Abmessung unterhalb der Auflösungsgrenze des Auges aufweisen.
