Abstract

Le procédé de contrôle de pression de formation selon l'invention pendant le forage d'un trou de sonde à travers une formation souterraine consiste à pomper de manière sélective un fluide de forage à travers une colonne de forage déployée dans un trou de sonde, en sortant par un foret au niveau de l'extrémité inférieure de la colonne de forage, pour pénétrer dans un espace annulaire entre la colonne de forage et le trou de sonde. Le fluide de forage est déchargé vers un réservoir pour nettoyer le fluide de forage en vue de le réutiliser. La pression de fluide de l'espace annulaire est accrue de manière sélective pour maintenir une pression de fluide sélectionnée près du fond du trou de sonde en appliquant une pression de fluide à l'espace annulaire. L'augmentation sélective englobe le contrôle d'une ouverture d'un orifice couplé de manière opérationnelle entre l'espace annulaire et le réservoir. Le fluide de l'espace annulaire est déchargé autrement qu'à travers l'orifice lorsque la pression de fluide de l'espace annulaire dépasse une valeur sélectionnée, ou tombe en dessous d'une valeur sélectionnée.
