Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de commande de la pression de formation pendant le forage d'un puits dans une formation souterraine. Ce procédé consiste à sélectivement pomper un fluide de forage par un train de tiges s'étendant dans un puits de forage, ce fluide de forage sortant d'un trépan à l'extrémité inférieure du train de tiges et s'introduisant dans un espace annulaire situé entre le train de tiges et le puits de forage; à décharger le fluide de forage du puits de forage pour le céder à un réservoir qui nettoie le fluide de forage aux fins de réutilisation; à sélectivement augmenter la pression du fluide situé dans l'espace annulaire pour conserver la pression de fluide sélectionnée à proximité du fond du puits de forage par application de la pression de fluide à l'espace annulaire, l'augmentation sélective comportant la commande de l'ouverture d'un orifice fonctionnellement couplé entre l'espace annulaire et le réservoir; à anticiper la pression de fluide de formation à une profondeur plus importante que la profondeur inférieure à laquelle le puits est foré et enfin à ajuster l'ouverture pour maintenir la pression sélectionnée dans le puits en réponse à la pression de fluide de formation anticipée.
