Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés et dispositifs visant à déterminer le taux de production de particules et la fourchette de taille des particules produites pour un individu. Le dispositif (10) contient une embouchure (12), un filtre (14), une valve unidirectionnelle de faible résistance (16), un compteur de particules (20) et un ordinateur (30). Eventuellement, le dispositif contient également un appareil de mesure d'écoulement de gaz (22). Les données obtenues à l'aide du dispositif peuvent s'utiliser pour déterminer si l'on a besoin d'une formulation permettant de réduire l'exhalation de particules. Ce dispositif est particulièrement utile avant et/ou après l'entrée dans une salle blanche pour s'assurer que les normes de salle blanche sont maintenues. On peut également utiliser le dispositif pour identifier les animaux et les êtres humains ayant une propension accrue à exhaler des aérosols (que l'on appelle ici 'surproducteurs', 'supraproducteurs' ou 'suprarépandeurs').
