Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Airbagmodul (1) für ein Kraftfahrzeug, mit einem Gassack (S), der zum Schutz eines Insassen mit Gas aufblasbar ist, mit einem Gasgenerator (G), mit dem das Gas zum Aufblasen des Gassackes (S) freisetzbar ist, mit einem Modulgehäuse (M), das den Gasgenerator (G) umgibt und insbesondere zumindest eine Durchströmöffnung (O') aufweist, die derart gasleitend mit dem Gassack (S) verbindbar ist, dass durch den Gasgenerator (G) erzeugtes Gas aus der Durchströmöffnung (O') ausströmen und in den Gassack (S) gelangen kann, und mit zumindest einer am Modulgehäuse (M) vorgesehenen Abströmöffnung (O), der ein zumindest zwischen zwei unterschiedlichen Positionen bewegbares erstes Element (E) zugeordnet ist, das in einer Anfangsposition die Abströmöffnung (O) verschließt und durch dessen Bewegung aus der Anfangsposition in eine Endposition die Abströmöffnung (O) derart öffenbar ist, dass das durch den Gasgenerator (G) erzeugte Gas zumindest teilweise in einen das Airbagmodul (1) umgebenden Außenraum (A) geleitet wird, wobei erfindungsgemäß der mindestens einen Abströmöffnung (O) ein zumindest zwischen zwei unterschiedlichen Positionen bewegbares zweites Element (E') zugeordnet ist, das zum Verschließen der geöffneten Abströmöffnung (O) aus einer Anfangsposition in eine Endposition bewegbar ist; beziehungsweise der mindestens einen Durchströmöffnung (O') ein zumindest zwischen zwei unterschiedlichen Positionen bewegbares zweites Element (E') zugeordnet ist, wobei in einer Anfangsposition des zweiten Elementes (E') die Durchströmöffnung (O') geöffnet ist und durch eine Bewegung des bewegbaren zweiten Elementes (E') in eine Endposition derart verschließbar ist, dass durch den Gasgenerator (G) erzeugtes Gas nicht durch die Durchströmöffnung (O') in den Gassack (S) gelangen kann.
