Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition de béton léger contenant de 10 à 90 pour cent en volume d'une composition de ciment, de 10 à 90 pour cent en volume de particules ayant un diamètre moyen de particules allant de 0,2 mm à 8 mm, une masse volumique apparente allant de 0,03 g/cm3 à 0,64 g/cm3, un rapport longueur/diamètre allant de 1 à 3, de 0 à 50 pour cent en volume d'agrégat, les particules contenant un agent antimicrobien ; la somme des composants utilisés n'excédant pas 100 pour cent en volume, et après avoir séché, la composition de béton léger a une résistance à la compression d'au moins 1700 psi telle que mesurée selon la norme ASTM C39 après 7 jours. La composition de béton peut être utilisée pour fabriquer des unités de maçonnerie en béton, des panneaux de construction, des tables à manger, des contre-surfaces, des plans de travail et/ou des tables d'examen ainsi que d'autres articles.
