Abstract

L'invention concerne un téléphone cellulaire/mobile médical à l'usage spécifique de patients et de participants à des essais cliniques qui comprend une fonctionnalité spécifique et restreinte dépassant celle des téléphones cellulaires courants. Ce téléphone permet à un patient (ou à un participant à une étude) d'envoyer par SMS à sa personne soignante (ou coordinateur de recherche), appelé ci-après 'hôte', une série spécifique de données de surveillance clinique et de recevoir des appels du téléphone mobile standard de l'hôte sans donner au patient la possibilité d'effectuer des appels personnels. Le dispositif, qui est compact et facile à utiliser quel que soit le niveau d'éducation ou la langue de l'utilisateur, comprend une série limitée de messages SMS préprogrammés déclenchés par des boutons dotés de symboles facilement reconnaissables.
