Description

Description
TOOL FOR MANUFACTURING FOCUSING AND ZOOMING
RINGS OF CCTV CAMERAS
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a tool for manufacturing a rectangular groove in the inner surface of each of a zooming ring and a focusing ring, which are included in a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras. Background Art
[2] Rectangular grooves must be formed in the inner surfaces of a zooming ring and a focusing ring, which are included in a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras.
[3] However, in order to manufacture the rectangular grooves, a slotting machine must be used. Since the machine must be manually operated to manufacture the grooves at consistent angular intervals of 120 degrees in three directions, it is impossible to form the grooves at exact positions.
[4] Further, when the slotting machine is used, it is difficult to adjust the depth thereof, thus resulting in an incorrect machining process. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[5] Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problem occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a tool for manufacturing zooming and focusing rings of a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, in which a tip having the same shape as a groove to be formed in the inner surface of the zooming or focusing ring is mounted to a machine tool for forming three grooves having a predetermined depth in the zooming or focusing ring at consistent angular intervals of 120 degrees, thus allowing rectangular grooves to be formed in a workpiece at precisely regular intervals and to a desired depth. Technical Solution
[6] In order to accomplish the object, the present invention provides a tool for manufacturing zooming and focusing rings of a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, including a tip having a first machining part which has on an upper portion thereof a cutting edge, is inclined downwards from a horizontal surface of the cutting edge to have a rake angle ranging from 2 to 8 degrees, and has a relief angle of 5 to 10 degrees relative to a vertical surface of the cutting edge, a second machining part formed to be axially symmetrical with the first machining part, and a coupling part provided in back of the first and second machining parts, and including a holder having a coupling hole coupled to the coupling part of the tip, and a clamping part. [18] The construction of a tool for manufacturing zooming and focusing rings of a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, according to the present invention, will be described below.
[19] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a tool for manufacturing zooming and focusing rings of a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing a tool for manufacturing zooming and focusing rings of a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, according to the present invention, FIG. 3 is a side view showing a tip, according to the present invention, FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a machining process, according to the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a view illustrating the machining process according to the present invention in a front view and a plan view.
[20] The tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras includes a tip 10 and a holder 20.
[21] In a detailed description, the tip 10 has a first machining part 12, which has on the upper portion thereof cutting edges 11. The first machining part 12 is inclined downwards from the horizontal surface of the cutting edges 11 to have a rake angle α ranging from 2 to 8 degrees, and has a relief angle β ranging from 5 to 10 degrees relative to the vertical surface of the cutting edges 11. A second machining part 12' has the same shape as the first machining part 12, and is axially symmetrical with the first machining part 12. A coupling part 13 is provided in back of the first and second machining parts 12 and 12'.
[22] Preferably, the cutting edges 11, formed on each of the first and second machining parts 12 and 12', are manufactured to have the same shape as the rectangular groove formed in a zooming or focusing ring 1 ' .
[23] Further, the holder 20 has a coupling hole 21, to which the coupling part 13 of the tip 10 is coupled, and a clamping part 22.
[24] The preferred embodiment, constructed as described above, will be described below.
[25] First, the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens a djustment device for CCTV cameras according to the invention is mounted to one side of a machine tool (not shown), and a workpiece 1 is mounted to the other side of the machine tool.
[26] One side of the machine tool, to which the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras is mounted, is formed to be movable up and down. The other side of the machine tool holding the workpiece 1 is formed to move the workpiece 1 toward the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras.
[27] In such a state, when power is applied to the machine tool, a control unit (not shown) sets a program for machining the workpiece 1.
[28] In this case, the program is set such that depth of a single cut when the workpiece is machined using the cutting edges 11 of the first machining part 12 provided on the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras corresponds to 1/8 of the height of the cutting edges 11.
[29] Thereafter, when a switch (not shown) for operating the machine tool is turned on, the workpiece 1 advances towards the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, according to the preset program.
[30] At this time, the rectangular groove is formed throughout the inner surface of the workpiece 1 in the lengthwise direction d of the workpiece 1 by the cutting edges 11 of the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras.
[31] Afterwards, in order to machine the workpiece again, the workpiece moves backwards. At this time, the workpiece conducts backward movement but is not in contact with the rear surface of the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, because of the rake angle α and the relief angle β of the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras.
[32] In this way, after a single process has been completed, one side of the machine tool holding the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras moves upwards. At this time, the machine tool moves upwards by 1/8 of the height of the cutting edges formed on the machining part of the tool 50 for manufacturing the zooming and focusing rings of the lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, according to the preset value of the program.
[33] Thereafter, the above-mentioned machining process is repeated eight times, so that the machining operation is completed.
[34] When the machining process has been completed, the workpiece is rotated 120 degrees. In such a state, the workpiece is machined in the above-mentioned method. When three rectangular grooves are formed in the workpiece 1 at angular intervals of 120 degrees, the zooming or focusing ring l'is completed, and the manufacturing process is terminated.
[35] Further, when the cutting edges 11 of the machining part 12 are damaged, the tip 10 is separated from the coupling hole 21 formed in the holder 20, and is rotated 180 degrees. In such a state, the tip is mounted to the holder 20, and the workpiece is machined using the machining part 12' Industrial Applicability
[36] As described above, the present invention provides a tool for manufacturing zooming and focusing rings of a lens adjustment device for CCTV cameras, in which a tip having the same shape as a groove to be formed in the inner surface of the zooming or focusing ring is mounted to a machine tool for forming three grooves having a predetermined depth in the zooming or focusing ring at consistent angular intervals of 120 degrees, thus allowing rectangular grooves to be formed in a workpiece at precisely regular intervals and to a desired depth.
