  • the invention has been developed primarily as a liquid seal for a container and will be described hereinafter with reference to this application. However, it will be appreciated that the invention is not limited to this particular field of use.
  • Known watertight liquid seal devices include screw caps and heat seals. These types of seals however, are problematic and have certain limitations in their use. For example, both require special and sometimes expensive tooling to produce, and in the case of heat sealing, to release the seal. Moreover, in case of the screw cap, the container opening must be circular to accommodate the screw fitting.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un joint fluide (10) pour un récipient de fluide, le joint comprenant un premier élément de fermeture (12) ayant une lèvre (14) s'étendant vers l'extérieur interposée entre deux formations de support (27) et (28) pour définir deux canaux principaux. Un second élément de fermeture (16) comprend deux brides de paroi (24) et (26) s'étendant vers l'extérieur définissant un canal secondaire (18). L'agencement est tel que la lèvre est conçue pour réaliser un joint en entrant en prise entre les brides de paroi pour former le joint fluide.
