  • Interlocking modular mats serve a useful purpose. They allow a custom sized mat to be quickly constructed.
  • Current interlocking modular mats have interlocking studs and stud receptacles. Modular mats can be connected to each other by inserting the studs of one mat into the stud receptacles of another mat. Once the custom sized mat is constructed there is a need for borders and corners which can be cost effectively manufactured and securely attached to the mat.

Resilient borders 60 are placed along the edges of the mat. The resilient comers 70 are placed at the comers of the mat. The resilient comers 70 trap the borders 60 securely into place so that the borders 60 do not slide along the studs 36, 56 during use of the mat.

  • the resilient border 60 has a height 68 when oriented for usage and the resilient comer 70 has a height 80 when oriented for usage.
  • the border height 68 and the corner height 80 are less than or equal to the thicknesses 50 of the mat module 32. This will prevent users from tripping at the perimeter of the mat perimeter system 30.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de périmètre de mat qui comprend un module de mat, un connecteur, une bordure résiliente et un angle résilient. Le module de mat comporte des goujons verticaux fixés sur un bord et des réceptacles de goujon correspondants formés dans un autre bord. Les goujons se logent à l’intérieur des réceptacles de goujon, permettant la construction d’un système de mat modulaire. Des connecteurs qui possèdent deux rangées espacées l’une de l’autre de goujons fixés à une base se logent à l’intérieur des réceptacles de goujon et permettent la création d’une autre rangée de goujons. Des bordures et des angles s’installent sur les goujons pour créer un périmètre souhaitable. Les goujons comportent des lèvres de verrouillage destinées à s’enclencher avec des évidements de lèvre formés à l’intérieur des réceptacles de goujon et destinées à s’enclencher avec des évidements de lèvre de fente de goujon formés dans les bordures et les angles.
