  • the various spacer means 8, 9 for location thereon of the mounting flange 7 of the drain 4 so that said mounting flange is located substantially in level with the upper side 1 a of the mounting plate around the recess can be of any suitable type and shape.
  • the spacer means which is formed or fixedly mounted on the seat 6, may comprise at least one elevation on the seat and said elevation is preferably defined by a lip or flange 8 on the seat.
  • the spacer means comprises a large number of said lips or flanges 8.
  • the spacer means which, if required, can be placed on the seat 6 may, as in the illustrated embodiment, comprise a spacer ring 9.
  • a drain 4 can be located on the spacer means 8. Then, no spacer means such as the spacer ring 9 is used. If drains 4 having a less thickness of material are to be mounted in the mounting plate 1, then the spacer ring 9 is placed on the seat 6 therefor and thereafter, the mounting flange 7 of the drain is located on top of the spacer ring.
  • the spacer ring 9 is provided with spacer members 11 and 12.
  • These spacer members 11, 12 are, as at the illustrated embodiment, provided on opposite sides 9a and 9b of the spacer ring 9 and are accordingly of different height for location thereon of the mounting flange 7 of drains 4 of different thickness of material substantially in level with the upper side 1 a of the mounting plate 1 around the recess 5.
  • the spacer members 11 on spacer ring side 9a have a less height than the spacer members 12 on the spacer ring side 9b.
  • the spacer members 11 and 12 respectively, on each side 9a, 9b of the spacer ring include portions of different height for location thereon of the mounting flange 7 of drains 4 of different diameter substantially in level with the upper side of the mounting plate around the recess, the range of drains which can be mounted in the mounting plate 1 is further widened.
  • the spacer members 12 on the spacer ring side 9b include portions 12a and 12b of different height.
  • the relatively higher portions 12b which are used for location thereon of a drain 4 having a less thickness of material than a drain which is located on the relatively lower portions 12a, also see to that the mounting flange 7 of a drain 4 having a less diameter (and located on the portions 12a) can be properly located on the spacer ring 9 by holding the drain centrally in the recess 5.
  • the spacer members on each side of the spacer ring are at the illustrated embodiment defined by spacer lips or spacer flanges 11 and 12 respectively. These spacer members 11, 12 however, may have any other appropriate shape and size and may be provided in any suitable number.
  • An inner peripheral flange 13 on the spacer ring 9 has on each side 9a, 9b of the spacer ring 9 the same height as the spacer members 11, 12 on that side (on the side 9b the same height as the portion 12b of the spacer members 12). Together with the spacer members 11, 12 the flange 13 has a stabilizing effect on the drain 4.
  • said seat is provided with recesses 14 for said spacer members 11 or 12.
  • the spacer members 12 on the side 9b are momentarily located in the recesses 14 in the seat 6.
  • Cooperation between the recesses 14 in the seat 6 and the spacer members 11 or 12 on the spacer ring 9 momentarily located in and engaging said recesses also prevent rotation of the spacer ring relative to the mounting plate 1.
  • each spacer lip or spacer flange 8 on the seat 6 is accommodated in a recess 15 in the spacer ring 9 when said spacer ring is in use.
  • the seat 6 is further provided with locking members 16 which in cooperation with locking members 17 on the locking ring 10 prevent removal of the locking ring, and thereby of the drain 4, from the mounting plate 1.
  • the locking members on the seat 6 are at the illustrated embodiment defined by recesses 16 which cooperate with locking members in the form of locking flanges 17 on the locking ring 10.
  • the locking flanges 17 are in turn provided with hook portions 17a which snap-in under one of the sides, side 16a, defining each recess 16. This recess-defining side 16a under which the hook portion 17a of a locking flange 17 is snapping-in, is preferably bevelled in order to facilitate the insertion of said locking flange into the recess 16.
  • the locking members 16, 17 on the seat 6 and locking ring 10 respectively provide a safe and reliable locking of the locking ring and the drain 4 to the mounting plate 1 and the locking ring, covering, when in position, the mounting flange 7 of the drain, defines a proper connection between the mounting plate and the drain.
  • the locking ring 10 is preferably provided with holes or notches 18 to facilitate making of holes therein for insertion into said holes of unlocking means (not shown) which can be used to move the hook portions 17a of the locking flanges 17 away from the recess-defining side 16a and thereby unlock the locking ring 10 and remove it from the mounting plate 1.
  • the holes or notches 18 are thereby located on the upper side 10a of the locking ring 10 opposite to the locking members 17 on the lower side 10b of the locking ring.
  • each portion 2 for mounting the mounting plate at the wooden floor structure may be designed as comprising a depression 19 for at least one mounting means 20 ( fig. 1-3 ). Therefore, the device according to the invention also comprises a plate member 21 for each depression 19.
  • a plate member 21 is placed in each depression 19 after mounting of each mounting means, e.g. a screw 20, therein.
  • the plate member 21 has a shape and size corresponding with the shape and size of the depression 19 so that the upper side 21 a of said plate member is located substantially in level with upper side 1 a of the mounting plate 1 around the depression and the plate member covers said depression.
  • each depression 19 is provided with a hole 22 for each mounting means 20.
  • the mounting plate 1 at the illustrated embodiment is a polygonal plate, there is also preferably a depression 19 for mounting the mounting plate 1 at the wooden floor structure in each corner between every two side surfaces of the mounting plate (see fig. 1 and 4 ).
  • said depressions and plate members are preferably triangular in shape, having one corner of the triangle opposite to a curved side of the depressions and plate members respectively, pointing towards the respective corner of the mounting plate.
  • the depressions 19 can be provided also in mounting plates 1 in devices without spacer rings 9 and locking rings 10 as defined above, i.e. in mounting plates with conventional seats for drains.
  • the mounting plate 1 is preferably manufactured with a slight slope or inclination towards the recess 5 for the drain 4 such that removal of water therefrom is optimized.
  • the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above and illustrated in the drawings, but may vary within the scope of the subsequent claims.
  • the type, number and location of the spacer means 8, 9 may be different from what is described above and shown in the drawings.
  • the type, number and location of the spacer members 8, 11, 12 may be different from what is described above and shown in the drawings.
  • Spacer members 11, 12 may consequently be provided e.g. on only one side 9a or 9b of the spacer ring 9, they may consist of more than two different portions 12a, 12b and they may consist of portions of different height on both sides of the spacer ring.
  • the mounting plate 1 may e.g. be round or have another than the illustrated square shape.
  • the recess 5 as well as the seat 6 for the drain 4 may have another than the illustrated round shape if the drain and/or the mounting flange 7 thereof has another shape than round, and so may obviously also the spacer ring 9 and the locking ring 10, which both are mounted/placed on the seat.
  • the locking members 16, 17 on the seat and locking ring 10 respectively may be of another type than described above and shown in the drawings and so may the number and location thereof.
  • the type, shape, number and location of the depressions 19 for the mounting means 20 and the plate member 21 for said depressions may be different from what is described above and illustrated in the drawings.
