  • Primary packaging is used for individual products, whereas secondary packaging holds the primary packages for commercial handling and distribution.

  • U.S. Pat. No. 4,471 ,870 discloses a package comprising a rigid tray member having an upstanding peripherally located rim portion. A plurality of discrete container assemblies are within the rigid tray member. Each container assembly has a plurality of individual containers in a regular geometric array interconnected by a unitary thermoplastic carrier means. A cover shroud overlays the tray and is secured to the tray rim to complete the package.
  • U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,249,738 and 5,299,733 both disclose a package formed from a one-piece wrapper.

  • the above mentioned panel wall portion is adapted to be partially broken away from one or more adjacent panel walls, and to be pivoted in hinged relation around a hinge line extending along a remaining attachment between the panel wall portion and a conjoined edge of a panel which comprises part of the balance of the carton.
  • the panel wall portion can then be positioned by rotation about its hinge, to support the carton from below, and preferable to support it in inclined relation to a shelf, table or other underlying surface.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne des cartons, ainsi que des ébauches de cartons adéquates pour former lesdits cartons, qui renferment des contenants d’emballage primaire. Les cartons en question comprennent une partie paroi de panneau qui est conçue pour soutenir le carton avec un carton - l’ouverture présentant un angle dirigé vers le haut afin de faciliter l’affichage et/ou l’extraction des emballages primaires depuis l’intérieur du carton. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, la partie paroi de panneau comprend des sections adjacentes de paroi de panneaux latéral, supérieur et terminal et selon ce mode, l’agencement en trois dimensions des sections adjacentes de paroi de panneaux latéral, supérieur et terminal permet de former une structure de poutre rigide en trois dimensions.
